I'm in the final year of an honour's degree in history and my student debt is $14,000, levied at 0% interest, and I don't have to make a single repayment until I report a weekly income of $1,100 to the tax office if I never report an income that meets the threshold or if I move overseas permanently, I don't have to pay a cent of it

My debt would be even less if I hadn't failed a few classes and had to retake them. If I passed everything first go I would have owed under $11k. shyt, I've saved enough to pay off my debt twice over, lump sum single payment, in the seven years I been at uni

When I was in school the "black major" was communications
Meaning most the African American I met were communications majors for whatever reason. CS or MIS was typically Africans and an odd black dude like me (most AA dudes in CS were from NYC at my school for some reason, only like 4 of us in the whole department but still )
My wife actually has a communications degree but her pops paid cash, lord willing she was able to finesse her way into a consulting job and still pulls close to 6 figures
