Doesn't matter. It'd be bullshyt regardless.

Exactly, nikkas sweatin a fictional story

On top of the fact that if you have a major religion chances are a lot of blood has been split over it

Black people are the most religious people I've ever seen. And you guys are also the most unfairly suppressed on Earth. There isn't exactly a direct correlation but it's not helping either. China isn't that religious, and look at our GDP growth over the last 3 decades. 10% year on year. Our people are also successful all over the world.
Korea isn't as religious as other Asian countries, and look how popular their culture, cuisine, and products are right now.
USSR.. I haven't looked into that much. Can't really comment.

I just want to see black people treated as equals everywhere and make some good progress. Tired of seeing brutality and prejudice upon you all.
Praying to a higher being that does absolutely nothing for you except have a 'plan' that involves you being crushed seems foolish. But pray on if you want. Nobody's on the other end of that line.
Look less to religion and more to professional fields in science and technology. That way more black businesses can be founded, bettering the community and bolstering the image. Instead of black churches where the pastors are rich, and you're forced to pay 10% of your income, and told that you're sinning even you're not. Similar rules apply for black Jews and Muslims.

As a Chinese dude, there will be posters here that will think I'm not qualified to speak on black matters. But there's my 2 cents. Take it or leave it. You can't neg me anyway :troll:

:myman:

You see the issue, religion gives people the perception that their life is ultimately not in their hands and that their destiny is not under their control. Most if not all of the eastern asian countries can see that.

A little tidbit about the USSR, they are actually somewhat religious in USSR and the former societ blocs.

:whoo:

So much sense in this post, please keep posting. People around here need a broadened perspective on life

China also has a billion plus people population

The number of Christian Chinese is going to be higher what about the ratio and percentages? :sas1:

The main thrust of your argument was 'Religion is holding 'Black' people back.', instead of the economics-based system of racial oppression created in the 17th Century that continues to this day, which didn't happen ANYWHERE else in the entire world, ancient or modern.

Believing that religion was the primary/root cause of the treatment 'Black' people received in this country is a myth touted as fact despite historically documented and verified evidence to the contrary.

But, you know, don't let history and facts stop you from having an opinion.

Islam used to enslave blacks
Christianity used to enslave blacks.

Can't get anymore influential than that.

Rastafarianism?

*BTW I'm Muslim for the record. Islam is the religion for all races.
this could've worked but corporations made smoking weed illegal :mjlol:
they prayed to halle selasie for resisting euros but italians didn't exactly have heavy artillery like the british. they were just grabbing land cause everyone else was grabbing land.

and jamaicans overrated halle selasie to god status and when he went there didn't exactly fit god/jesus status. it would be like christians meeting a real jesus and realize he's really just a soft fakkit.

what helps jesus gawd status is that no one really met him. and they can make things up in his head about him.

we could start a religion off pac as the gawd :pachaha:.... i would totally pray to this man for shooting at cops defending another black man :wow::blessed:

if pac did it for a white dude we'd have a real religion with white folks praying to a black man :lawd:

I've simply had the opportunity to travel, meet a bunch of different people, and see and hear things from multiple perspectives. Instead of approaching an issue from one angle I attempt several. I'm not saying I'm super enlightened or anything but a lot of posters here seem to think in one direction. It would help not only black people, but all people to incorporate a broader perspective on life, as you mentioned. Your point about religion is also sublime. To strive under the impression that one being rules over all, and you must act accordingly to this being while he simultaneously lies to you about free will, is stunningly foolish. Funnily enough I was raised a devout Protestant, but as I grew older the cracks and holes got wider and deeper, and eventually I renounced my beliefs. Never have I felt more free, unshackled from the false comforting lies I was fed. shyt I'm sorta ranting

False since I don't follow any religion. I just know more about that one than YOU.

:sas2:
For someone who does not follow religion, you seem to act as if you are extremely religious, and you defend it awfully hard.

Islam used to enslave blacks
Christianity used to enslave blacks.

Can't get anymore influential than that.
The slave and the slave master prayed to the same God for centuries. I guess God obviously favoured the slavers. What does that tell people about their beloved onmipotent overlord? And yet they refuse to acknowledge this fact.
Not even getting into the blood spilled over what their God promised them.

We were at a better place spiritually and mentally when we were not only religious, but in control of our religion and our images.
Examples:

Ancient Nubia and Ancient Egypt (Ancient Nile Valley)
Ancient Exum
Ancient Ghana
Ancient Mali

All were powerful religious/spiritual Black-led countries and empires. Things turned when we let nonBlack people in and steer the narrative.
As spiritually and mentally in tune you folks were back then, the key thing is just that - back then. Times have changed. The world has changed so so much. If you continue to let religion keep you in the dirt and the caves, eventually you will be entirely left behind, or suppressed even worse than now.
