Discipline, pride, health and knowledge can all be sought and expanded upon without the aid of religion. Spirituality is nothing if you as a people are walking the streets knowing the police and a sizable number of the people are not your friend.

Doing better with less is great in certain situations, but this is a culture, a community that we speak of. Financial and social security would matter more to me, but that's just me. Spirituality does not change people's often wrongful perceptions of black people, nor does it advance the society. I'm not saying completely throw it in the bushes, just.. prioritize a little. But then again this is coming from an atheist, so spirituality most likely ranks higher on your list. :yeshrug:

P.S. I don't have much against Islam, but they're tripping about pork. That haram swine is delicious

:what:

I gave you examples from 5000bc to the 1900ad of different Black peoples who advanced thier (and unfortunately other) societies.

The only difference today is the technology and us living under the most powerful religion/system: WHITE SUPREMACY

That's true, but the system that was created here in North America went FAR beyond those systems by completely excluding 'Black' people from society and turning them into a class.

A problem with OP's post is that he tries to homogenize more than 1 billion black people on the same lines as Jews, Arabs and other peoples. Africans are extremely diverse and even in the diaspora, they created religions based upon African religious faiths such as Candomble and Haitian Vodun.

In West Africa, Islam and faiths utilizing the Ifa Divination system such as Yoruba Oris̩a-Ifá and Igbo Odinani were prominent. I cannot speak much about Central Africa or Southern Africa but in the Ethiopian highlands, black people had been Christians for nearly 2,000 years. What's the point of this post, OP?

only intelligent and factual post in this whole fukking thread God the rest of yall are dumb nikkas and fakkit cacs trolling

Judiasm, Christianity, and Islam were started by black people stupid. don't fall for the fake arab/jew trick. the OG arabs and jews were black.

Jewish people wrote the Bible if I'm not mistaken, Islam was created by Mohammed and his CHRISTIAN WIFE I was told. They were exactly "black" people either...you're using European caste systems to describe your so call own people, and calling me stupid.

...one thing about me, is, if I get to calling people names, I make sure my facts are straight. :mjpls:

American born blacks seem to not have an established religion, and all signs point to slavery and diaspora. So the point is to get a better understanding of black American religion. We are not the same as Africans, we're something else.

Not too sure about the Arabs in North Africa but....
A lot of Africans South of the Sahara were trading with Potuguese and Spaniards.

How can you oppress a group of people when you're not even genetically capable of surviving on their land??

Mohammed was black and Jews that wrote the bible. http://blackarabia.blogspot.com/2011/09/how-did-black-arabs-become-white.html

The Pure Arabs and the East Africans are indeed kith and kin. Bertram Thomas, historian and former Prime Minister of Muscat and Oman, reported in his work ‘The Arabs’:

“The original inhabitants of Arabia…were not the familiar Arabs of our time but a very much darker people. A proto-negroid belt of mankind stretched across the ancient world from Africa to Malaya. This belt…(gave) rise to the Hamitic peoples of Africa, to the Dravidian peoples of India, and to an intermediate dark people inhabiting the Arabian peninsula. In the course of time two big migrations of fair-skinned peoples came from the north…to break through and transform the dark belt of man beyond India (and) to drive a wedge between India and Africa…The more virile invaders overcame the dark-skinned peoples, absorbing most of them, driving others southwards…The cultural condition of the newcomers is unknown. It is unlikely that they were more than wild hordes of adventurous hunters.”

The people who occupied the Arabian Peninsula and North Africa 1,500 years ago had black skin and kinky hair like the peoples of Northeast Africa today.

Louisiana voodoo?

Most religious faiths are not created out of a vacuum. Islam was derived from Christianity, Judaism and the traditional faiths of the Arabian tribes. Buddhism stems from Hinduism and Jainism. Sikhism is a combination of Islam and Hinduism.

African-Americans had the disadvantage of being Christianized by Protestant Englishmen and not lapsed Catholic Spaniards or Portuguese.

Arabs have Islam
Whites have Christianity and Catholicism
Jews have Judaism
Asians have Buddhism

...people from other races, adopt these people's religions, including blacks. Black Americans were introduced to Christianity. But have blacks people ever had a religion to call their own? One that solidifies their connection with "God", like other races?

Actually Christianity comes from the Middle East and not Europe. In Fact the founder of Christianity is a Jew for God sakes. So it is not initiationally a European religion. Certain areas in Africa established Christianity way before most European countries. So it started off in the middle east and spread to other regions of the world.

King James version? :mjpls:

The king james version did not exist when Christianity was established in parts of Africa, i am talking about northern African mainly Egypt, Northern Sudan and Ethiopia, most of the translation was done from Greek to sahidic Coptic, Gee'z and, Old Nubian.
