I was never in a gang but where I lived there was bloods. Many brawls happened in the park and a drive by with paintball guns (
).
Also one of my cousins got murdered by a rival gang member after a fight at a party. His crew then shot dude up at a basketball court. Then the rival gang did a drive by and shot up my cousins dad house. He and his baby daughter got grazed by a bullet. The rival gang thought my cousins dad ordered the hit that got their boy killed.

2 of my neighbors/friends got killed by latin kings one was while I was in high school the other when I was 19 both shot in the head.Another cat I know is paralyzed from the waist down got shot by some conservative over work or somethin like that

On 88th & ashland my boy almost got clapped he had on a black & red fubu jacket and hat

The gang was not on no goofy sht like terrorizing the people in the neighborhood though....nggas was just uniting to get money
there were shootouts as well as people I grew up around getting locked up - but dudes I knew that were not in that gang were getting locked up too

when I was in middle school I beat the shyt out of this asian kid without realizing he was part of a gang. For the next 3 months his boys would come after me if they saw me and I whooped they ass too. Eventually they realized they couldn't take me alone and so they started coming after me in groups of two or three and I had to run. Its not a good look having to haul ass to get home everyday after school cuz older dudes have nothing better to do than pick on kids. It all stopped when I beat the shyt out of some other idiot in school in front of them, they saw that ass whipping and wanted no part of me after that. Considering some of the shyt I had heard of them doing I think I got off lightly all things considered.

I live in CLT. I know what gang you're talking about and what hood you're from. I have friends that live there, and I visit them every now and then. But yea, going to Meck County summer school my Freshman year(summer of 2005) there was alot of gang members there, and alot of conflicts. Even in class all the kids were stacking and throwing up their hoods, and the teacher(older White lady) called the Summer School principal in(a younger Black man) and he said some ol' Lean on Me stuff like "If you keep throwing up your neighborhood, than we'll expel you and send you back to you home where you can rep your neighborhood IN your neighborhood".my neighborhood made that Gang Land show (including images of my street

I was a good kid tho, so I was just sitting back and watching. ALOT of fights over gang stuff at North Meck high school. It's was crazy seeing that hood on Gangland. I rememeber when everyting was popping off back in the mid-00's.

Yep. When I was about 11 to when I was 18, had a kid and grew out of it I was heavy into the DYT. We basically fought with crosse posse linty goucho and other young teams because we lived in different areas.
Used to carry a knife everywhere I went, seen people get stabbed seen people bring swords and crossbows to fights as well. Got stabbed in the back of the head myself but I don't think that was gang related, was more to do with football.
I'll say it had a real negative impact on me. I'm constantly wary of people I don't regognise and I'm still uncomfortable walking through certain areas and have been chased a few times. (I'm only 20 so it really wasn't long ago I was involved). It also started me drinking and smoking at a very young age which can't have been good for me.

now when I went away to college, my mom would tell me how the police were all over the neighborhood that day and dudes running through our yard trying to escape from getting caught...sht like that had happened so many times my mom offered one dude that we knew a bottled water while he was hiding in our back yard
