Scarface is probably the first rapper I ever sought out to play by myself.

My older brothers and their friends played rap music all the time around me, so when I was a kid I mainly listened to whatever they listened to. They played a lot of 2Pac, 8Ball and MJG, and whatever was on BET or The Box. But I remember my brother was driving me to school blasting Scarface, specifically the Geto Boys song "Scarface" and I vividly remember the story about the chick getting blasted after Face gone done fukking her:dwillhuh:

I was thinking about that shyt all day in school, rapping to my friends the few words I could remember, lil snot nose at the school table going "on the forreala my nikka just call me scarface:mjgrin:" and I went home with my lil backpack, went in my brothers room, found the cassette tape and started playing it.

Face is in my top 5.

Mind Playing Tricks on me is a 90s hip hop tier 1 classic

Smile and Homies and Thugs are essential parts of Pac and Master P's runs...and I know for a FACT got major run in the A in the late 90s

You never heard cats bumping the singles from The Fix...the rocafella collabs?

Face ain't some obscure niche or regional act, I'm legit befuddled by this take
