and what songs were they playing besides the ones I listed?

You can’t tell me DJs in Atlanta played him more than local acts. Atlanta radio is and was very heavy on the local dudes

Yeah, of course they played local stuff more. ATL has always been about supporting local acts. But to say no Scarface/Geto Boys? Did you not stay up past midnight when the dj's played fast and loose with the broadcast rules? Because that's when you'd really hear the street/non-radio-friendly stuff.

Everybody ain't gotta be up on everything, I know I missed my fair share of regional artists and I'm a music fiend...but no Face? That's a huge gap in your puzzle, brethren. You've got some pieces to fill in.

:snoop:
I’ve been listening to rap since I was a toddler. I had Doug E Fresh and the Fat Boys on vinyl

during that time we were playing Crime Mob, Trap Squad, Lil Jon, Luda, Jeezy, TI, Gucci, Dipset, Wayne and Jay Z. :unimpressed:

Y’all talking like I said I’ve never listened to Scarface in my life.

The point of this thread was saying he didn’t get played that much to where folks wanna act like you aren’t a rap fan if you aren’t a Scarface fan.
yeah thats fair, age probably plays a significant factor too.

I dont even have anything bad to say about Face..

I listen to more old school Memphis shyt than anything tbh. When I listen to Houston shyt its Fat Pat, Big Moe, Hawk, KeKe, ESG, Zro and Lil Flip, and thats who I hear most folks mention.

My thing is these backpack ass nikkas who's rules to hip hop include everyone gotta be a stan of Scarface, J Dilla and Nas, and when I say we didnt play Face that much nikkas think im speaking Japanese or somethin

Hot 97.5 ATL and V103 played Face in the 90's breh. I remember "Smile", "Homies & Thugs", the song with Devin and Short all being played.

ATL really got to be the WOAT city if one of the most legendary rappers of all time never got any play there
