Yes for construction 10pm-6am

It sucks ur whole time schedule gets messed up and you spend all day thinking about having to work that night. I did it for 4 months. I wont do it for More that 1 month agian. And good luck falling asleep while the birds are chirping.

The only benefit is sleeping in but thats for lazy people

that's pretty much why I started sleeping in the afternoon, wake up and go to work, then chill during the day. Makes it hard to really have any social life. Wouldn't do it again if I could avoid it.

Yeah completely phucks up your time perception. I managed a kinkos 3rd shift for like 2 years then when out of school I had 2 jobs, 1 of which managing a 3rd shift @ a copy center of an investment bank but on the weekends for a year. The key for me was I had to sleep immediately as i got home because if i passed out past noon I was ruined cause I would be awake all f'n nite. Even if I Invite a joint over after i smash she knocked and I'm wide awake staring @ the walls. Gotta lot of school work tho but still ... glad I dont do that shyt anymore. It took years to get that out my system I suffered from bouts of insomnia for a good 4-5 years afterwards

Yeah. It sucks. From the time you wake up you are thinking about that fact that you are eventually gonna have to go to work. You miss the end of most sporting events. You always feel like you don't have time to do anything because you need to be home to get ready to go to work.

It's abysmal.

I guess it would be better if you were single though, but if you are single then working 2nd shift is GOAT.

Working 4pm-4am, now that sounds depressing. However working 12pm-7am or something along those lines would not be so bad. I could always pick and drop my daughter off at school, I could be there to do her homework with her...the only time I wouldnt be around is when she is sleep. I'm older though so my priorities are different. I would ruin the social life a younger person who likes hanging out at night unless they were off on the weekends.

how did you sleep during the day? and does that give you more energy compared to sleeping at night and waking up in the morning? or less energy?

I havent done that I was just saying. I operate now on 6 hrs of sleep. So I'd imagine I would sleep after I drop my daughter off to school, which is around 8 and she is picked up at around 4:30. As long as get a good block of sleep, I think I would be okay.

Right now my brother works 5pm to 4am building airplane parts and he hates it. I think its all depends on the hours worked. Like to me 11-7 or 12-8 or something like that would be as bad as working 4am-4pm or a mid day start.

REALLY GOOD WAY TO SAVE MONEY. YOU'RE ASLEEP WHILE EVERYTHING IS OPEN. THE OTHER THING IS YOU HAVE A HARDER TIME GETTING DAYS OFF FOR DOCTOR'S APPOINTMENTS AND shyt THAT WOULD OTHERWISE INTERRUPT YOUR WORK DAY.

ONLY REAL PROBLEM IS YOUR DAYS OFF DON'T SEEM LIKE A DAY OFF. YOU EITHER HAVE TO STAY ON YOUR SLEEP SCHEDULE OR SWITCH FOR THE WEEKENDS. THIS WRECKS THE FIRST 1-2 DAYS OF THE WORK WEEK FOR YOUR SLEEPING.

DID THE 12PM TO 8AM SHIFT FOR 2 YEARS. 7DAYS A WEEK. PUT AWAY ALMOST 10K EACH YEAR WHILE WORKING THERE.
