I went to South Africa pretty much exactly a year ago. It was probably the best trip I ever took. I went to both Capetown and Joburg...and also went to kruger national park which is a safari type thing.
Capetown - It was ok, a lot of people say this city is the place to be in SA but I thought it was just average. Now granted I might of just been in the wrong spots, but it seemed pretty European to me. Now granted I still had fun, and did meet an African girl while I was there (although she had moved their from Malawi), it was just ok to me. A lot of white people in that city, and it seems that is where all the white tourist go if they are not going to Kruger. It might of been better If i actually knew somebody from South African to show me where to go.
Kruger - It was a safari, not really much to say. Can be as cheap or expensive as you want it to be. I really enjoyed it. I drove here from Joburg....about a 6 hour drive.
Joburg - My fav part of the trip. The clubs here are good and it feels more like an African city. The women here are nice

. Now I did meet a guy off couch surfer who took me around to the clubs, and I met a girl while I was out who showed me around as well for a few days so that could be the reason why. But I really liked this city. If it wasn't for the fact that I started a new job 2 months ago I would def be back there this month.
