Having NBA and NHL playoff games on cable is terrible.

That’s $720 a year. I don’t watch that much tv.
I seriously thought about getting youtube tv. Our xfinity bill is absurd. If I were single and didnt have kids, I wouldnt have cable, only internet.

I was flipping through the channels last night and couldnt find shyt to watch besides the heat/celtics. All these damn channels with no interesting content

YoutubeTV is basically cable. Idk what your bill is but you'll still get all of your cable channels

The thread title speaks for itself.

Playoff games on cable channels is bad. It limits how many people you reach and pushes people to spend money for costly television channel packages.
I cut cable years ago and have found ways to watch the games, anyway. But it remains a pain in the ass nonetheless.

I hope you're enjoying your Sunday evening, ladies and gentlemen.
You sound broke as fukk breh.

Make a list of all the shows you generally check for over the course of a year that are still active. That should let you know whether it's worth streaming or having cable or not having anything.

I'm washed so all those channels that show old ass TV shows and Game Show Network, they held me down during the pandemic and I hate streaming, so I can find something easily on cable and just have it on as background noise.

I got cable back, all these streaming services you end up paying more than just getting cable. Someone predicted that years ago and I didn't listen but they were right...

Having all the playoffs on regular TV would be oversaturation, it's cool how it is. Save the marquee series for broadcast...

I‘ve been saying it for a long time, yet people are slowly starting to see I was right. People forget that there was a reason why cable packages were created in the first place.

Don’t see how people play hockey tbh

I can’t see the puck watching the shyt half the time if it’s fast paced

And it seem dangerous af At times

Make the puck white and hockey gets interesting then

They have to look for the puck then

Things are trending that way, for sure.
But I don't watch enough tv where any cable packages make sense.

The way I'm piecing together my subscriptions is still less money than any cable lineup.

Over time that’s going to change as content more expensive to produce and companies need higher subscriber numbers to justify costs. Those costs are going to get passed to consumers and it’s only a matter of time before one them tries to find a way to lock in customers long term a la cable.
