Dion Waiters for 4 years, $52 mil coming up :ehh:

Not a philly fan (wizards only), but I live there now. Was thinking would be nice to have Dion in his hometown, but honestly considering his personal life he might be best off away from this city. Think he lost his brother within the last year down in South Philly

Philly need to keep all the bigs, i know people werent watching games last year cause why would you? but them sixers rack up fouls like its nothing whether that's poor refereeing, poor discipline, poor defense, or all of the above. Can't hurt to have all the bigs to rotate out and play aggressively or in case of injury as all 3 (Embiid, Okafor, and Noel) have missed games regularly.

I wouldn't trade for Teague. All three are more talented than what the market is probably offering at the time

EDIT: Brandon Knight is a thought but don't they got Chandler and Len down there already. Unless the Suns want to move Chandler to a contender

I wouldnt trade them at all unless I got a deal that knocks my socks off...Next years draft will be full of PGs and who knows if Embiid can really stay healthy....You never know it is also a small chance Simmons/Saric can make it work....Plus if they want a guy like teague they can move covington and 24 or 26 which will give them a vet pg for this season at least or overpay for a free pg on a short term deal they have a ton of options.

Embiid need to come out the gate playing 10-15 minutes max. Not sure how the Saric thing shakes out. I'm sure the fans want whoever they draft to start immediately and shouldn't be a problem with Simmons or Ingram. Covington is ideal for a bench role until you can do better with moving him. It's not like they had a bench last year. I understand Brett Brown's dilemma - he even said it at the combine - just how many developing players can they have on one team developing at the same time and trying to win games?

I get his point, but some teams are making it work looking at average ages of players on Utah and Minnesota. They're not in the playoffs but its a step over 10 or whatever amount of wins they had this year

The only thing Teague does better than Ish smith is shoot, I'd rather keep NN resign Ish for a few years, we might as well we gave up 2 2nd rounders for him, oh yeah and theres the fact that were likely drafting a guy 1 overall that can play point, god I hate the colangelos

I told them this a few pages ago,Teagues only advantage over Ish is his jumpshot

They are gold. They helped us win 60 games and have more success than we had as a franchise. This idea of greatness is misguided. How many PG's out here great. Curry, Westbrook, Lillard. Not one of them defend all that well.

60 wins was a great accomplishment, but how many championships did that get us last yr? Or this yr?

I'm done caping for simply good players with no desire to be great or who don't bring it come playoff time, let these dudes walk and try to get elite talent.

This gotta be one of the worst posts I've read on thecoli. The only thing Ish does near Jeff's level or better is Ish is quicker. That's it! Ish is Speedy Claxton

Knights is younger, locked into a better contract and could be a better fit with Simmons..

Either way Teague isn't that nice @Qohelet always overrates Hawks players especially Jeff Teague...

No NBA team would value Teague over Noel or Jah.....Teague as soon as next years draft will be a bottom 8 NBA PG.
How am I overeating Teague Sway?

Very good and to sit hear and say they have no desire to be great is nonsense. Some players are not gonna be great the same we would like is because they want to be great teammates. You want Jeff to play like Lillard and Paul because when he plays them, he plays better than them, then we see him v. Rubio or MCW and we are like, my nikka, show us the same shyt that you did v. CP3 and Lillard where you were the best on the court but that's not Jeff. I called this out years ago. He's a streaky offensive scorer.

Where I like Jeff is he finally became a constant PG. Where he always runs the offense, gets us the best shots, makes great basketball reads, isn't out of position like Dennis constantly is and doesn't turn the ball over. You in the wrong thread with this nonsense. You got clown asses belittling Jeff. You should be defending him, not saying well shyt, I want a title, find someone who's better. That's fine but in the same thread, you got some fukk nikkas saying Ish Smith is anywhere near Jeff and NatiboyB said that Mack was just as good as that nikka. If you don't stop having a Hawks fan argument and stick to lighting these fakkits up nikka like we always do when we got haters among the crowd of supporters.

Man fukk all of that. I'm not gonna fake the funk b/c this is an open thread. I like Jeff, but I'm always gonna keep it real about him & his style of play, the same as I would about any player, Hawk or not.

At this point in their careers, yes Jeff is a better & more consistent PG than Dennis, no question. But lest we forget that it took an injury to fukkin Kirk Hinrich in the damn playoffs before we even knew Jeff could play. I think Dennis is ready to prove what he can do full time now & that might not work out too but he's at least ready to give it a shot. You've seen the best Jeff can get you and at his absolute peak he's a streaky scorer, solid defender & good teammate. Those are all good things, but why are you defending that so hard? B/c he's a Hawk? B/c he tries hard? He's done good things for the franchise, I've enjoyed watching him play but we're no closer to winning a title with him than without him. Im ready to move on

:snoop: ish Smith

I'm out fukk this.
I don't know what this nikka @AVXL is doing man. He see a stupid ass nikka compared him to Knight, Ish Smith and Mack and he's mad in his feelings because Jeff didn't meet his expectations when I told this nikka Jeff will never be as good as he think. Just cause Jeff might might outplay Lillard or Paul don't mean he gonna be elite. I tried to talk to him but now he's mad at touch me, Teague me. I told his ass this last year.

My issue is value. I always stated for years Jeff will never be a superstar or star, he's not on Al's level but to nikka argued and argued. My opinion remains the same but if we talking trade value, you damn right, I value the shyt outta him
