yeah I know there have been tons of articles saying this, but I just saw it for my own eyes.

I'm on biz travel near Hampton University, my alma mater, so I decided to drop in and talk to one of my old professors.

one of the main parking lots, we used to call Africa because it was so damn far, was completely empty

I then looked up the current enrollment...around 4300

The enrollment when I graduated in 2006 was 6300:damn::damn::damn:

I still believe HBCUs are necessary in America, especially in today's climate. Why is that we're turning our backs on the greatest source of black doctors, nurses, and engineers?

Because we're not validated unless we're cosigned by the establishment.... like 80% of the so called militants on this site..... most of the ones hollering group economics probably attend PWIs..... real talk

Morehouse and spelman is gonna be alright :win:

Morris brown though :sadcam:

Morris Brown was trash. I went there the last year before they lost their accreditation. After that I went to a hood ass 2 year school that costs a tenth of what MB cost and had much nicer facilities. shyt was sad as fukk.

Man idk about others but I went to NSU and sad to say it's almost like a racket. My freshman year (2004) tuition was $3500 for a year. I was on a presidential scholarship cuz of my grades and basically had a full ride...only had to pay $500 out of pocket a year :blessed: so I went 2 years...got caught up in all the partying, chicks, etc, ended up losing the scholarship cuz I had to maintain a 3.5 and ended sophomore year with a 3.1. Took some time off went back to register in 08 and tuition jumped to $4800 a semester :whoo:that's like 130% increase. I would hate to see what it is now :merchant:
