I was curious because I've gone back just to the accounting bachelors. I don't think I'll need it going forward but no one will ever been able to front on me and say that I don't know money after obtaining the degree. I'm non-clinical whereas you are going to be clinical. You never know though, healthcare is so wide and varied that this may come in handy in the future.

that's what's up. how close are you to getting your accounting degree or you already have it? a lot of people hate on it but i tell folks if you can stand doing it, then you can get paid. It just isn't for me though because i need a career that does certain things that accounting doesn't do. Just wish I was strong enough like 5 years ago to follow through.

Personally I prefer Nurse practitioners over PAs. Way more experience and useful than a fresh PA.

Apparently some Nurses and PA's are offended by this. What do y'all think?

As a black nurse I'm not offended....reason being is because a lot of times patients will automatically assume the black health care worker is an aid. I personally get excited when I meet black female doctors, it's empowering for me. They worked hard for their bragging rights. Doesn't take anything away from me or my career.

However, I will say this- they need to be careful when they actually start working with other disciplines within the medical field. Folks don't take too kindly being dismissed by arrogant doctors.

Me neither I'm not offended. Nothing degrading about being a tech or a nurse at all. Thing is its disrespectful once they see young black women, patients assume they're techs and the young white ones get mistaken as nurses.
