The Lakers were a top 3 defensive team after the All Star Break and they couldn't stop Denver's offense. Miami is going to run into the same problem as well especially considering they don't have an AD anchoring their defense. With that being said, Miami has the benefit of not having an obvious player in the lineup that can be hunted on defense in the way that DLo was.

Boston's inconsistency carried over into the playoffs, so that partly contributed to it as well.

Jokic has GOAT-tier vision so I wouldn’t be surprised but I don’t think the Lakers and Miami can be compared the same way. Chemistry, consistency, and discipline are what separates elite playoff defenses.

I think the Heat’s versatility will surprise people and I wouldn’t be surprised if they did a Giannis defense where they focus on limiting 3s and forcing Denver to beat them with lobs and putbacks while betting on their guys to light up their perimeter defense.

Limiting Jokic is hoping he only averages like 40/20 btw

I already said it in the Lakers Warriors thread that their top 3 defense was a facade and really it was their huge free throw disparity and ability to get away with fouls the other team could not that made it look that way, no way a unit that was together for 3 weeks and had a revolving door of guards on the perimeter was a top 3 defense lol, not to mention how many weak teams they played

Miami has the #1 playoff defense and the leagues best defender by a a large margin and have caused the most points of turnovers in the playoffs, never take what the media sells you at face value

They wont. Darwin Ham killed the team with his small lineup. Even the minutes with Tristan playing centre showed that he should have gone big throughout.

Nuggets in a backdoor. Zero answer for Joker, too many weapons surrounding him. Simple as that for me :yeshrug:

And I hope I'm wrong , I want a dramatic ass series

Aaron Gordon about to eat? :patrice:

Oh, he about to bully the hell outta Caleb or Max. I think we see Love start on him to try and force him into a strength matchup by playing positional defense.

Love ain’t a defender but he’s pretty strong and I don’t think Aaron will be able to bully him with ease before we can rotate over. Or maybe we dare Aaron into shooting over.

Spo smarter than me so I think he gonna have some sauce. I think our role players are gonna eat though. Denver is probably the weakest defensive team we’ve seen all playoffs and our undrafted guys have shown they can score against top ranked defenses.
