You created a thread and began with community and agency, then you went on this weird rant about purging undesirables...I appreciate your OP, but then you contradicted yourself. Like Kwame Ture said, we need to stop pointing the finger at Uncle Tom and start aiming for Simon Legree. Until we actually learn and develop strategies to combat the system, we cannot fix any other issues in our own community. We would just be running in an endless circle. How do black women praise white men? You have yet to answer the question.

And you have got to be KIDDING ME. Rappers and athletes are, unfortunately, the biggest influences on young black men and women. To deny this is to deny reality. And you are stupid if you think black women are more susceptible to media influences. The black men sleeping outside of foot locker every time a new pair of Jordans comes out say otherwise. The black men killing other blacks in Chicago because of drill music say otherwise. I can go on all day, but you get the idea.

And if that's what black men desire than so be it. If I truly wanted to, I could have joined the "bed wench movement" during my time at a predominantly white university. But I have too much pride for that. But keep being the only men who have to fight and compete with your women because your too scared to fight the men of other races.

1. I did not edit any post, I've been on my phone up until now.

2. I said I didn't have the answers and it would take a discussion. Purging the cancers could range from merely ostracizing them to forcing them in rehabilitative programs where they will become educated or learn a skill.

I will admit that for some of the worst cases, death or incarceration may be the only option. We all (don't know how old you are) know people who fall into this category, however there aren't that many people.
