He's not perfect, but where does Tariq Nasheed stand with you as a black voice in the media?

On the real, Tariq be better off if he would ignore Sotomoisture and Feminikka all together.

They are using Tariq to make themselves more popular. Tariq should just charge these internet trolls to the game.
I agree wholeheartedly.

These cats are using his little fame to up there's. Ol girl sounds batshyt insane.
Unless Tariq is DM her behind the scenes, I don't know what the fukk she's talking about.

The biggest problem I think Tariq needs to do with her is stop using the @her name. Because when he does that, it goes to her mentions.
He may not be even talking DIRECTLY to her but that @ gives her the excuse to say "he's stalking me."

If anything she's stalking him. This chick has made 100's of tweets about him. Anytime anyone of prominence on Twitter (ex. Shaun King, Anika Noni Rose,
or Antonio French) positively tweet Tariq or follow him, she goes on their Twitter page disparaging him and saying "he's been staking me, he's misogynistic, hates BW"
and shames them into distancing themselves from dude.

Black feminisms means your against black men.

No it doesn't.I'm in a black feminist class now & not once has the topic of "defeating," black men come up.:comeon:

This is like saying the stop and frisk campaign didn't on paper target black men :dead:

So let's talk about this general lack of respect for women that exist in the black community then. :sas2:

My sister is a Black feminist and all her friends. I grew up around this shyt. Natural hair, bell hooks, fake outrage etc. You act like there can't be proud Black women without them being associated with Black feminists. You may not like White men but they are perfect for you, Black feminist get real comfortable around men of other races. They can still talk negative about Black men and they might get a mixed race baby. I believe in you, you can do it

:mjlol:
@ Fake outrage. The out rage is justified.& I do think you can be a "proud black woman," without being associated with black feminists.& I never said I didn't like white men, because I am willing to date and have relationships with them(& not for the hopes of a biracial baby).

The same thing Tariq is doing...spreading knowledge in the way that they feel comfortable with. Serving as role models and examples for black men and women. I know someone personally who randomly went up to Cornell West after seeing him speak and that eventually developed to a close mentoring relationship.

Tariq is mentoring "lay" people and these scholars are mentoring blacks on college campuses.

Again, they have their own lanes and own audiences (all black). I'm sorry to say but a mack/"pimp" isn't going to appeal to everyone. He's not going to be an example or have much credibility to certain types of people; however, he has his place and fulfills a need for people who can't related to individuals like MHP, Cornell West, and etc.

That's understandable.

I liken Tariq to a Bill Maher or John Stewart, "activists" who come from entertainment backgrounds.
Guys who aren't seen as "scholars" like Cornel West but they provide great social and political commentary (along with activism).

Discuss White washing?
yes, though not always in such terms. The reality of things is often more complex and great historians never shy away from that.

Does this make you upset? Black feminists love to use this book as an attack to call him a misogynist.

..and I'm not talking about sexism and racism that Black women face, i'm not ignorant to that. Yall get mad at petty shyt like a man walking infront of his woman or gender roles in the relationship. You should really consider that biracial baby though :salute:

Cornell West and MPH this past school year (and this was in a very, very, very small college town). I can actually turn on the tv and see MPH on a regular basis.

Considering that I just moved to a city where a host these "respected intellectuals" work and live, I expect to do it fairly regularly.

Listening to black feminists doesn't count sweetie. But thanks for playing. :camby:
