Fresno, CA.
1. It's the absolute worst healthcare you can get. An army docs solution to everything is 800mg motrin.
2. Covering college cost but at a cost and be glad if you can actually go (deployments, training)
3. Guaranteed house loan....dont mean shyt if you have a below average credit score
4. Veterans preference is cool perk I guess. GS system is a who do I know system damn near. It's how I got put on. Also doesn't help that now you have to wait six months if you retired to get in the system. Contractor is the quick come up but pay isn't guaranteed because of shutdowns. plus veterans preference is making a world of difference for Iraq and Afghanistan vets who are homeless at alarming rates.

Uncertain grounds
they're openly admitting the economy is an illusion that will fall apart the instant they have a lefty to blame it on

I saw many documents in 06 predicting the crash in 08. He knows it going to lose the election and the economy is going to crash which in hindsight will make him look better to people who arent aware of the current state of the economy

Been on the Coli 5 years. Could have served, probably not see combat, and be chilling in school or getting paid off that clearance. :wow:

That's kinda the plan for me. I find it dumb some guys go on in there and I ask them, "So, what do you plan on doing with this?" Their response is always, "Oh, I don't know."

:dahell:
I'm like, "Take your ass to school and get a degree, save up money, pay off some debts, get that clearance, etc." There's NO excuse. Like other military brehs said, "Use the federal government like it uses you."

Breh, the military does not offer you "slide into middle class" levels of assistance or pay anymore. :francis: Like, those days are long dead. Baseline E4 pay is like, $25K a year. You make more than that working at a truck stop. And most people won't crack E3 which is poverty wages.

You're acting as if somebody with a degree can't go into OCS or the fact that most Americans make less than $38,000 at a full time job.

Most people I know who got out the military did better than me with less job experience.

Yeeeeaaaaa, if you think E1-E5 pay is making middle class $, you may not have a clue on what the middle.class makes

We're not talking about the PAY, we're talking about the BENEFITS and what you can get out of it AFTER it.

It's a fact that nowadays if you play your cards correctly, you can get a GREAT paying job out of the military than you can just going to college.

1. I've had to live without health insurance with health problems and I have it now and can barely afford the bills that I have. In addition to that most of my doctors don't want to do sh_t for my pain but give me Ibuprofen...IF that.

2. What exactly will keep you from getting an education while in the military? Also, you don't have to use the military to go to school. You can get job training with the MOS you have and use it in the civilian world if it was a good job in the military.

3. You can remedy your credit score by saving money while getting benefits for things that you don't have to cover out of your own pocket and there's some incentives to helping with student loans.

4. If you're a veteran then it sounds like you didn't use it to your advantage and now you're bitter about it. I don't mean any harm because a lot of Millennials are resorting to doing this and we're using it to our advantages and getting out for better job opportunities.
