That's stupid. I was around for all of HHH's runs and they were garbage. He wasn't drawing. The difference is people will turn in to see what Punk and Bryan will do next. No one gave a shyt about HHH is doing next week and that's been the state of the business since he was awarded the WHC. No one turns in for one specific worker (except maybe some kids for Cena). People turned in back then for Monday Night Raw, no one gave a shyt about the HHH show. He's rode a train of nostalgia throughout his run and crashed it right into a brick wall of unover babyfaces and bad ratings...that he himself created. You see the difference between your Rockys, Austins, and Hogans is that people care about them. People wanted to see them. They put asses in seats and people in front of tubes. HHH turned people away from the product. He wasn't the one at the time. The company was the one at the time. Until Cena came through and crushed the buildings that is. Don't try and rewrite history like HHH was a top draw or that he was even WWE Champion because he was handed a big gold belt and the people screamed bullshyt. If you're gonna be the one, you should atleast have a fanbase who says, "Yeah, this guy has it". Hunter never had that...EVER..he had McMahon and some steroids and said, "Hey i'll make your daughter buff, make me champ"

And don't say Smark...thats like the Smarkiest thing you can do
:whoo:Titangraph = feelins caught. Punk wasn't drawin buys were down when he was champion errbdody constantly pointed that out, and he wasn't even the Main Event most of the time thats why Eve ethered him about how his reign was eclipsed by everyone else. Bryan ain't puttin asses in seats either, peep the numbers from the last couple PPVs bruh.:scusthov: HHH may have turned IWC cats like you away but when he was the biggest heel in the business muhfukkas was tunin in to see him lose, and he done had mad fans from the DX Attitude Era on stop lettin your hate make you delusional.

To some of you who said this;

Orton was never the guy either.
He was when he had that monster heel run durin the Legacy days.

Thank you breh. :salute:Totally agree that there needs to be a big Bryan payoff after this build. I'm assuming (and hoping) there will be.

I'm hoping for that big Bryan payoff too. It would be stupid not to have it. They could make the fans see him in the same light as Cena, someone who'll be a top guy for the next five years or more. If not, how many more times can go back to Cena without building someone up to eventually take his place?

No feelings caught, just telling the truth. You can tell how you want but fact is: More people turned in after the pipe bomb then ever turned in for a HHH promo, the Yes chants are a single bigger victory then anything HHH has ever done. The PPV buys were horrible because the fans were tired of how the company kept fukking them and PPV buys havent been great since the early 2000s, almost ten years before Bryan ever showed up. I guess the tag belts are ugly because of the Rhode's Brothers too? Eve's whole career is ether, who gives a fukk. Only reason HHH wasnt over shadowed when he was "the one" was because he pulled backstage bullshyt all the time and buried people that should have reasonably been given the ball to run with. Kane, RVD, Jericho were all more over than HHH and all more deserving of the title at the time. Hunter wasnt getting "Oh Man I can't wait for this guy to lose" responses he was getting, "Get this long nosed fukk off my tv" responses . No one turned in to see HHH lose. No one turned in period for HHH. And no DX didnt have fans because of Hunter...that's ridiculous. HBK made the original DX, X-Pac and the New Age Outlaws made the second DX. Punk and Bryan both have seen cross over success (as minimal as it is) which is a shyt lot more than Hunter has ever done. Punk and Bryan are both more draws than Hunter in the new era too FACT. Youre delusional or HHH

Look at the business WWE did post attitude era and pre john cena. HHH was just as B+ as Jericho Edge and Bryan with a far bigger push

Y'all gotta keep in mind that any promo HHH cuts in the ring is all about selling the next PPV.

His job right now is to reinforce the storyline that he doesn't believe Bryan is an A-level player. That he looks down at Bryan. Looks down, because he (in his mind) is above Bryan.

He does that by equating himself with Rock, Austin, etc. Since no one in the audience would take him seriously if he shyt on Rock or Austin, he shyts on convenient targets like RVD, Edge and Jericho (who are all currently popular babyface characters, incidentally). It pisses off not only the casuals but also the smarks. This all makes him a bigger heel. The kind of heel everyone will want Bryan to prove wrong.

I don't believe for a second that HHH truly feels he was as big a star as Rock or Austin. But selling himself as their equal, and selling himself as being above that Edge-Jericho-RVD "second tier", is what's best for business at the moment. It's smart. And it may very well be leading to HHH vs. Bryan.

If HHH never taps to the Yes Lock, what did the promo really do

:dead:@ trying to sell a PPV using the premise that the guy in the WWE title match isn't a big enough star to carry the company.

And WWE wonders why their business is in the toilet. If it wasn't for all these additional revenue streams WWE would be in the TNA struggle

Why isn't anyone talking about Randy being the king of B+ guys? :lolbron:

Notice how Trips didn't mention Cena? :usure:

As for the Jericho tweet, didn't Jericho immediately defend HHH, when Bret gave Hunter the 4/10 rating. :mjpls:

But in the meantime HHH's promo is making people pay money to SEE it happen.

Real talk, dude is keeping it from:
