Dress how you want to be addressed. It also depends on how your suit is cut, tailored, styled. Etc.

Nothing wrong with wearing a suit, hitting a nice lounge, smelling good, grabbing a nice drink, and making convo. Going on a new restaurant by yourself, air tie, with a nice suit on, Burberry scarf.

But I’m not going to tell anyone, especially black men they shouldn’t be wearing one. Image needs to be your #1, not worrying about being around a bytch who wants a “fly n gga”

Low vibrational as fukk.
Nah, we off that. And for reference I’m in DC. Been there done that.

There’s countless other ways to demand respect, exude power, style, class, etc without wearing a suit. The ngga checking coats at a restaurant is wearing a suit. Literally

You shouldn’t have to “dress up” to something you’re not. If you wear a suit as part of your job and keep it on, or if that’s your natural energy (stuffy, old school :skip:) do you. If that’s not you, it’s forced and corny.

Culture and fashion shifts. ‘A suit’ doesn’t convey the same. The same way we not wearing a button up with jeans and hardbttoms to the club anymore, the same way nggas dont go to class in blazer with their college sweater :childplease:

As far as ‘women want a fly ngga’ you right forget what women want, for ME, I am gonna be fly for me and that’s gonna be conveyed. Blazer with pocket square and chinos I’m not randomly wearing a suit :hhh:

If you can't wear a suit to a wedding then IDK bruh.... :mjlol:

There's more casual suits and more formal ones. I have a green suit and a tan suit that are more casual and fun. My navy one is obviously more formal.
To clarify, it at least shouldn’t be the same type of suit. And you don’t need to wear a tie. Basically adjusting people’s expectations of what ‘dressing up’ means.

A standard navy or black suit is for funerals and interviews. For anything else there is a ton of room for variety

When I got my first office job, I wasn't wearing a suit but button downs, slacks and shoes. There was a noticeable difference in how people interacted with me vs. my usual jeans and shirt. Had women approaching or just start a convo randomly, at some point they mention how they liked the clothes or compliment the shoes. The days I do wear a suit, women stare hard. May come down to the fact that in my area most men ages 17 - 45 dress the same.

Suits are for events or like church or something. I’m not wearing a suit to go shopping especially with me being in the south and all. Women will look at you if you wear a nice sweater with pants and decent shoes. You don’t have to do all that.

Come on breh….. let’s get suited and booted then head out to South Park Mall this weekend

Wearing blazers and sports coats everyday is a cheat code.

Full blown suits have a time and a place. You gotta have the body for it to wear them comfortably in every type of environment. And yes people treat you better when you’re dressed up.

Some points they bring up:
1.) women look at you more
2.) women are more interested in you.
3.) if you don’t wear suits everywhere you will only attract ghetto girls.
4.) people are generally more interested and will give you top notch treatment even before getting to know you.

I only agree with number 4.).

As for number 1 I do not believe that wearing a suit all day long makes you all of a sudden get every girl walking down the street.

I believe it that style only attracts “superficial” chicks.

What y’all think?
They say that like it's a bad thing.

I literally left finance for Big Tech and part of the reasons was not wanting to wear a suit everyday.

Dress well and keep eye contact when addressing people. A weirdo in a suit staring at the ground is still a weirdo.

I used to wear suits to work in my old job and wear them to important meetings. There is an increased base level of respect you get in a suit. But I don't if translates to getting laid.
