I was disappointed in this film. Love the actors but there was parts of the movie that logistically made no sense. The whole money drop was too well coordinated. Old ass cops chasing people. Denzel running up in buildings dolo. Etc

The views from his penthouse was amazing tho ghatdam

The penthouse was the best part of the movie. I remember seeing that building walking across the bridge one time and thinking how fire it was.

Spike is out of touch and heavy handed, and he’s too well-respected and stubborn for people to reel him in. The script wasn’t good neither was the story. Some random white guy wrote it as a first time writer (or something like that), and it showed.

Denzel and Jeffrey could only do so much.

It had a lot of potential but it was just entirely too messy and badly paced.

It is no surprise you’re idiotic thoughts translate to film also:russ:
The bold couldn’t be more fitting. You never let a chance go by without embarrassing yourself.

Who do you think you’re fooling at this point?

I’ve beaten you into submission after bumping all your stupid ass takes over the years, that you’ve gone from a hot take artist who exists on the wrong side of history to someone that’s too scared to stand on a definitive opinion so you just hedge your bets, curtailing the inevitability of your idiotic thoughts been used against you in the future.

The fact remains, Denzel hasn’t been hot for a minute and the 1-2 notable performances he’s had over the last 15+ years is telling. Perhaps he needs something worthwhile to revitalize his career or perhaps he just doesn’t have it in him anymore.

Movie was written by a white boy with no experience :skip:It all makes sense now.

This is misleading. The movie was adapted from a book written 65 years ago, and it's not the first adaptation.

If you did a film study course in college, tou probably watched High and Low. It's the same story, but in that movie it's a shoe salesman instead of a record label exec.

Just finished watching, not what I was expecting. Agree about the score being :patrice:, I'm not sure what they were going for stylistically but it seemed to undercut the tense situation of the movie. Then the main thing that had me :gucci:was

Asap Rocky orchestrating the plot to steal 17.5 million, with the multiple mopeds and then just keeps the money at his apartment w/his girl not knowing and goes to the studio to do music . Then expects David to sign him to a contract after kidnapping and extorting him. With that type of money he could be set for life.

Agree about Denzel and Jeffrey Wright carrying the film. Cops were inept and the actor who played the son was more impressive on Cloak & Dagger.
