It is actually much less work than to actually take a hardline position because you can say whatever you want with plausible deniability.

That is why Peterson does it.

That's not even remotely close to being true. I believe liberalism has destroyed the black community, and I believe Democrats use black people as political cannon fodder. :manny:

I'm extremely clear on that...anything "secretive" people think is all in their heads, and I have 0 control over that

He's not seen as a real Democrat by the party...he was an independent until just recently. The Dems are very much into toeing the corporate party line and dont fukk with outsiders which is why they stay vexed with AOC, Ayanna and the other younger newer set.

nikkas are mad. But is she really lying. Bernie proposing legal weed, free healthcare, free college, wiping the entire student debt. And does anybody know how Congress works? Republicans will start a civil war and split America in 2 before they allow half the shyt Bernie promising to pass.
And other then throw out extreme favored ideas he’s been his Congress his whole life. What has he got done? Winning the presidency doesn’t make you a all power having entity.

Serious question: What has Bernie gotten done?

serious question, What does it matter if he accomplished nothing if he was RIGHT and everyone stopped him due to corruption and money in politics?

What has he done vs is he right are two completely different things and his executive orders would be 20x better for everyone than any other candidate even if the congress says "fukk you"

Most of the democrats are republicans. He is a true democrat which is why he caucused with them on 98% of the issues and votes in congress. Saying he isn't a rela democrat when he voted with democrats for 30 years is like saying an arab 2nd generation citizen who owns a deli in NYC is not a real american because he speaks arabic.

Bernie voted for the 94 crime bill and the war in Afghanistan. He also voted against the CHIP program, which provided health care for millions of poor kids.

Where do you get that shyt? When has Sanders' base ever been gay people? Gay folk gonna either pick one of the women or the gay candidate. :gucci:

@STEVE was close to right, Bernie leads among Black voters under 35:

"When it comes to young black voters, a major poll by The Washington Post and Ipsos, conducted from January 2 to 8, showed that black Democrats ages 18 to 34 support Sanders over Biden by a significant margin. Biden only garners 30 percent support from the younger voters, while Sanders takes 42 percent. However, Biden is the clear frontrunner overall in that poll, with 48 percent of black voters saying they back Biden compared to 20 percent for Sanders. None of the other candidates register in the double digits.

Recent polling by The Wall Street Journal and NBC News also has shown that black millennial voters are showing greater excitement about Sanders than they are for Biden. However, their polling also found that older black voters are strongly behind the former vice president."

Joe Biden denies Bernie Sanders leads him among black voters under 35, despite polls saying otherwise
Bro this is totally wrong. LGBTQIA have always been down with Sanders as he is the only one who has been fighting for them since the 60’s!

The Democratic party has basically been moderate Republicans since the 90s. Clinton presidency moved them center right...they just are still "liberal" on social issues like abortion and gay stuff...otherwise Dems are basically Republicans and have been for a while

This.

Hillary helped create CHIP, which gave healthcare to millions of poor children. Bernie voted against it.

Bernie voted for the 94 crime bill though.

I’m just asking a serious question. What has Bernie gotten done?
:francis:
We've had six consecutive presidents who have been pro-corporate neolibs or neocons. Since 1980 America has orchestrated the largest transfer of wealth to the rich in world history, fully supported by the establishment on both sides. Obama, the most liberal president since Bernie entered the Senate, started off his presidency by immediately bailing out all the rich a$$holes who put us in the mess in the first place and never meaningfully addressed anything they had done. Both Obama and both Clintons (the standard-bearers of the party for almost 30 years now) have no problem getting wealthy off of Wall Street and feeding everything back to the same establishment politics.

What is Sanders supposed to do as a pro-poor, anti-establishment senator in that climate? Magically be the 50 votes all by himself?

And I looked up you claim about CHIP, Sanders opposed the original CHIP because it had too many giveaways to corporate/Republican interests and he was fighting for a bill that covered MORE kids, not less. But once it was law he's continuously fought to make it better with more money and more people covered.

Bernie Sanders on Health Care

Voted YES on expanding the Children's Health Insurance Program.

Voted YES on adding 2 to 4 million children to SCHIP eligibility.

Co-sponsored bill to preserve access to Medicaid & SCHIP during economic downturn.

Sanders adopted the Progressive Caucus Position Paper:

    • The Progressive Caucus is united in its goal of making health care a right, not a privilege. Every person should have access to affordable, comprehensive and high-quality medical care. We must use our health care dollars efficiently and ensure public accountability in all medical decisions. Based on this goal, we support the following principles:
    • All Americans, including the 44 million currently without health insurance, deserve to have the health care they need, regardless of ability to pay.
    • Medicare must remain solvent and available for the millions of seniors and individuals with disabilities who rely on the program. The Progressive Caucus supports expanding the program to cover prescription drugs and other needed products and services for beneficiaries. We support a Medicare buy-in for individuals age 55 and older. We support lowering out-of-pocket costs for seniors who currently pay, on average, 20% of their income for health care.
    • Proposals should be rejected to change traditional Medicare from a defined benefit to a defined contribution or voucher system.
    • Balanced Budget Act cuts that are negatively affecting patient access to hospitals, nursing homes, and home health agencies must be restored.
    • Medicaid must have the resources to continue to provide coverage and care for low-income individuals, including children in the CHIP program.
    • Individuals with disabilities should retain their health benefits when they return to work and to have access to rehabilitative and other needed services.
    • Funding and outreach and other programs serving low-income Americans should be expanded. Examples of such programs are the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP); Qualified Medicare Beneficiary (QMB), Specified Low-income Medicare Beneficiary (SLMB), and Qualified Individuals programs; transitional funds for Medicaid recipients who are also welfare-to-work recipients; and for HHS for mental health outreach for the elderly

Source? I think that you're full of shyt. I don't know one Black person that supports him. They're mostly young white liberals and homos.
Bro this is totally wrong. LGBTQIA have always been down with Sanders as he is the only one who has been fighting for them since the 60’s!

Elizabeth Warren is number one choice for Democrat candidate among LGBT voters, landmark poll finds

Warren has the big lead with the gay vote. Bernie is pulling 18% with them.

Gay people are already a tiny minority and if you only got 18% of them then they sure as hell ain't your base. @DatManJay must know a LOT more gay white people than I do if he's meeting gay Bernie supporters like that. He's obviously got way more Black supporters than gay supporters.

Bernie Sanders on Health Care

The Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008, often called the "bank bailout of 2008," was proposed by Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson, passed by the 110th United States Congress, and signed into law by President George W. Bush
