It's the truth. I would be saying the same shyt if the same shyt happened to Biggie. Nas shouldve walked away with SOMETHING. Even Biggie acknowledged that much.

I agree.
And yeah, Stillmatic is his most important album. Everything was on the line
this is one of the reasons why I think Lost Tapes is easily Nas's 2nd best release. It's got the feel/heart of Illmatic but more polished.
The lost tapes was a bunch of songs nas had in the vault from 96 to when it released its not really considered a album & is lowkey cheating
If nikkas cant appreciate nas's genius on IWW or anything outside of illmatic than your not a true nas fan
You have data to back that cac stuff? Because usually when your album sales triple it indicates you cracked the cac code.
And Jingle is not someone whose rap taste id lend much credence to. But hey, that's just the sane human in me. Do you think he likes his own album too?
I remember when you were trying to play both sides of the fence when Hocean was and still is constantly begging for my attention. I was trying to tell you that dude was a weirdo stalker with zero original hip hop thoughts. Now you see Billy Hocean as the moron he is.
Breh, don't waste your time with that fraud. You know way more about hip hop from Europe than he does from NYC (if I'm to believe his duck). And that's the pathetic part.
I don't even have a chance to assess his knowledge because he keeps critiquing me over the same point and he doesn't bother to read what I've written.

I notice a few younger people prefer IWW and it makes sense - I get why they prefer the mafioso lyricism and more modern production. But for me? It's not up for debate, Illmatic is a perfect album. IWW has at least two bad tracks on it. Nas Is Coming is corny as fukk and Black Girl Lost...nope.
He's a dunce. You've been on this board long enough to figure out what's obvious in minutes. and you're playing that fence again.

I know I did!Believe it or not A LOT of Nas fans feel this way. Most Nas fans started with IWW and went back.
Joe Budden. Crooked I. Joel Ortiz. Cee Lo. Nas' own brother Jungle. and countless others feel this way as well. It's not about a young thing. A lot of straight lyricist prefer IWW.its definitely been interesting to see j cole, lupe fiasco, and schoolboy q name IWW as their favorite album.
Lost Tapes had zero songs from 96 on it. All songs were from 99-01 time frame. The lost tapes was a bunch of songs nas had in the vault from 96 to when it released its not really considered a album & is lowkey cheating

Doubt it was recorded by the albums release.watch dem nikkas is one of the best songs on the album and has one of nas most famous lines
i will agree with u about nas is coming though. song is just trash. he should have replaced it with the street dreams remix with rkelly
:prodigylol:You know? I'm listening to Watch Dem nikkas again and I think I've been mistaken lol because I like this song now.
I'm SURE there's another song other than Nas is Coming that was pretty poor/average but clearly it's not that song lol. I need to find it.
Nas Escobar Moving on Your Weak Productions.Whether Nas accepted the the crown/title or not ppl had given him the GOD MC position, the hood prophet, which limited him creatively and commercially. His features pre IWW weren't in Escobar fauxcade, so the mafioso thing was a surprise
