But let a black man say their album is wack and they'd be ready to send goons to harm him. Fake ass tough nikkas.

Rap is COINTELPRO type shyt nowadays. You hear anything from Future? Young Thug? Gucci Mane?

Nah, they just mad that they cannot tour in a Pandemic. They have no smoke against white supremacy like that.

This is what happens when the bar(s) gets lowered. I told nikkas there was no more hip-hop culture a couple years ago in that big Logic thread and nikkas was heated.

Yeah, they cannot mumble about injuatice nor can they make relevant posts. Such a shyt show at times :snoop:

After what Wayne, TI, and Killer Mike have said I'm cool with not hearing from any rappers.

I don't know why anyone expects a rapper like Lil Baby who only cares about chains, billboard, street shyt and Lambo trucks to all of a sudden become a social activist just cause he got some money :dahell:

Are the average drug dealers social activists? Certain people don't even know who the mayor of their city is. There was a time when gangster rappers were rapping about what was going on in the streets, police brutality, drug dealing, murder, poverty etc. A lot of these new rappers only rapping about their own life, come up and nice things in life.

There's a whole lotta where's ja going on out here

Honestly I realized this week why I'm not really into rap like I used to be.

There's still good music but hip hop as a whole just doesn't reflect what's going on in the world the way it used to.

The streets used to influence rap, now rap influences the streets.

wild confirmation bias going on in here

many rappers have spoken out but so what? How does that further any causes

and the streets still and will always dictate rap

Reppin
My Pops Forever RIP
Y’all too old to be looking for heroes, like your reaction to this situation will change depending on what you’re favorite rapper says. Y’all no different than those stans who make artist devoted twitter pages who hang off every word that artist says. Now if anyone says something you won’t think it’s genuine.

This “You Know The fukkin Vibes” generation isn’t interested in these social causes unless it looks cool, and even then, don’t ask em to do anything significant like donate or march or vote. Only a hashtag shall suffice.
