Which seems contradictory but what I mean is, back in the day people hated rap.
Imagine you're an old head that grew up on 70's soul and a car drives by bumping "Dopeman".
That is a reason to cite generational differences. Because there was literally nothing like it before. It was scary to a lot of older people.
It was counter culture. Politicians hated it. Parents hated it. Places like MTV didn't even want to acknowledge it at all.
This shyt nowadays ain't making anybody uncomfortable. Or if it does it's because dudes are wearing dresses and acting like homosexuals.
There is no equivalent of "Death Certificate", or "Fear Of A Black Planet". There is no NWA, or "fukk The Police".
Your shyt is not hard to understand or "get". It's not radically different than any other genre in history. These dudes nowadays are rapping about the same shyt people were rapping about 30 years ago, just worse.
