Man, no. Because he's unappreciative. You're given an opportunity to make it out and you still involve yourself in stuff that's put you in jail before.

What part of the game is that?
They signed him BECauASE he was a thug. Let's not act stupid here. He was a moron for signing to begin with

Plus I refuse to belive this 16 year old ran some powerful crime syndicate. This is nothing more than the hip hop police ruining another young brothers life. The sad thing is that anyone with a brain could see this from a mile away.

Does that article say dude shot at his own brother :what: Story behind that?

Don't matter how rich you are. 2 mill is a lot of money. Nobodies willing to just throw that down. And they certainly didn't get rich wasting money like that. Especially since hes not on their label. If they could put him to work when he got out, might be a good investment, as shyt stands? Nah.
I guess. His barely even got the opportunity before they locked him up. And they booked him on like what a gun charge and a conspiracy charge? So basically the only charge they have on him is carrying protection which you need to do if you're gonna be a rapper staying in your hood. Like his lawyer said it was a glorified gun charge.

Haters gon hate.

Either way they barely got shyt on him. Prosecutor just wants to shaft him cuz they dont wanna see a black kid make it. Few years in the joint will just give him more credibility and barely put a dent in his career. He might smarten up too.
They don't want to see a black person make it! So he sabotages himself smh.

Man shut up, all you have to do is listen to ol boys lyrics to see what he's about. Plus he's not 16, plus he ruined his own life, as most people do. Back off with your lame self

2mil...that's probably nearly equals the amount of revenue Hot Boy has made Epic. It's not like he'll have another hit so Epic probably not really thinking about spending that money on him, or they'll say he breached contract by getting locked up on major charges.

Epic looks bad though. The next rapper they try to sign will bring this up.

Sad thing is that this kid was eaten up by the system and no one said shyt. Even if he didn't go to jail he'd be out here dancing for Epic, making them money and barely seeing any dough himself. In a year he'd be dropped and broke.

Epic hasn't made any money off hot nikka and neither has bobby. Jalil beats owns all the rights to it. Its really just a freestyle that went viral due to 6 seconds in the video. He has some serious trumped up charges against him, and no one unless they have a piece of him is going to put up that money.

Whole situation is tricky, what's to say you bail him out and he doesn't run to Haiti or somewhere or you bail him out and his still locked up homies start pointing fingers at him to get out? Bad as it sounds, you can't bail him out unless you plan on house arresting him to a studio.

The next rapper they try to sign is going to sign his life over with a smile. He's not even mentioning shmurda.

Known fact, even jalil beats was tweeting about it. Clearing a sample you already rapped over that blew up and is out there is 10 times harder than a regular one. Like I said hot nikka was already an overnight sensation which was really just a quick freestyle, so they had to backtrack to jalil beats and ask to use it AFTER it was already a hit. Bobby basically had to buy clearance rights for his whole song from jalil beats.

Why…..because they are from the same place that Bobby is, and have glorified, sold, and eventually profited beyond their wildest dreams on the exact tenants of Bobby's real life and rap image, holding down the block with work and a pistol, struggling to get out the street using rap music, fukking up WAY after getting on…… and maybe no one looked out for them that way, but now they are in a position to help someone in need. They, and others in similar spots, should use their power for more then to climb the corporate/entertainment ladder….look after your own (and others), however misguided, fukked up, they may be. And Shmurda is not some lost cause three strike felon, Suge Knight type…..I see it like this, if I see kids on the street, selling candy bars, I'm talking like 12-14 years old, old clothes, dirty sneaker, I hand them all $20, because I remember when $20 meant everything, and that shyt doesn't mean anything to me, monetarily anymore. So, if even for an hour, I can make those kids lives better, I'm down. They should apply the same for Bobby, use it as PR if they have to. T.I is another one. Where the fukk would he be, if Atlantic didn't step up for him? (Sans the cooperation).

I hate that people will be in here talking about brand liabilities, quarterly profits, ROI and fiscal responsibilies, and 'this is a business', fukk the business, fukk the perception, fukk that….Jay and 50 have 'fukk you' money, they should use it.

Oh, he involved himself in illegal actives after he got on? Thats a cardinal sin now? You give some kid in the hood, thats neck deep in the game, however futile, senseless and small time comparably….give that kid money and power, and of course he's going to put his boys on, and try to further his crew, and take those chances to turn that 50k into 100k….that label was bird feeding the kid anyway right….

what's mind blowing about this post is that it's being presented from an angle that Bobby is somehow a victim in all of this. here we have a young man who had - actually still has - the opportunity to obtain financial freedom and uplift his family, who made several mistakes, yet you feel he should be saved (rewarded) for those mistakes by others who walked a similar path.

if that's true, then there are tons of young men in the system right now who deserve that type of of help (reward) for the mistakes they've made. the difference is, they don't have the opportunity to legally obtain financial freedom like Bobby.

no one feels sorry for - and they shouldn't - current or potential millionaires who squander their opportunities by bad decisions.
