That's exactly what Puerto Ricans and Dominicans do. There is a video on YT of a brother who confronted a young DR broad on why they DRESS like Blacks and TALK like Blacks but don't black she's people. She said something to the effect of " we rock yall" styles better. This is how the average PR-DR think about black people.
Ive read that a lot of hispanics and asians are starting to move into black brooklyn neighborhoodsSoutheast Queens is mostly AA and West Indian, and I hardly ever see Latinos there. I don't see many Latinos in Brownsville or ENY either.
I'm sorry but I'm confused as to how someone dresses like blacks. Does each race or culture have their own dress codes? What do Spanish people wear, a guayabera and sombrero? Maybe you got something with the talk, like the slang but everybody on the streets basically wear the same thing. I don't see many folks out in dashikis, kimonos or even kilts. Far as the girl not relating as black, maybe she just relates or knows more of the Dominican culture since that's where she was born and raised. I know some of my ancestry is from Spain but I don't relate to their culture or know much about it since I didn't grow up with it. Depends on the individuals upbringing. That's exactly what Puerto Ricans and Dominicans do. Yeah I'll admit that. Even some white people too, no idea why. I know my brother used to. He even has dreads now but he always had curly hair since he was a kid. Must be some black in our genes. We are complete opposites cuz my hair was straight and his was curly.spanish people be rocking doo rags though I never understood that. Even the straight haired ones.

I grew up with a lot of Middle Easterners. Many of whom showed a lot of love to me over the years. Blacks and Arab kids can be found hanging out with each other a lot.
Guess Middle Easterners are our friends now.

you mixed, white or black?I used to do that with my white looking ass. looked mad corny. I don't think I ever specifically said "I want to be black so let me jack their culture" tho. It was just something I saw everybody doing so I did it and I really didn't realize what I was doing at the time.
