Wolfpac was hot. At the time, even as a kid, I thought Sting and Lugar joining was forced. Kinda like when Giant joined the NWO the first time. It just didn't feel right.

They had to get the biggest baby faces aside from Golderg and DDP to join in. Especially since Hogan kept Hall in Hollywood and Hennig was out with a knee injury [Hennig should've been a 4horseman from the jump but thats another discussion]

Only thing I'll add is what Ive always maintained about Sting and that is the most remarkable thing about him is that he managed to put together a HOF-type career while stealing every single character and gimmick from other aspects of pop culture.

Obviously took the name from the similarly blonde-haired musician that was one of the biggest rock stars in the world. His facepaint was basically a takeoff of his old tag parter Warrior. Then he jumped to Crow gimmick. Then the Joker. His "WOOOOO!" is a blatant bite of Flair. "Its showtime, folks" = old catchphrase. Hell, before he became Sting he had two monikers: Flash and Blade Runner. Dude never had an original moment in his career.

That being said, Ive always still been a fan.

No... the character exists because Sting turned down the initial plan which was for HIM to turn heel and form the nWo which would have been a disaster. Everything worked out for the best but the nWo didnt carry anyone. Yes they were the most popular save from Sting but everyone played their roles well in order for it to work.

Brehs we dont have to get nasty about this though. Its ok to disagree. If you think Sting was boring I can get why. Outside of the red and black facepaint I wasnt feeling Wolfpac sting either. I probably would have more if it wasnt so hip hop influenced and still for some reason an nWo stable. No matter what side you are on this one thing is for certain, the only hip hop song Luger had ever listened to at that point was Informer

low key outside of the crow gimmick, if SID was gone and didn't talk for an entire year, then started showing up in the crowd and pointing to the crowd, he would've gotten as or MORE over imo. Sid's ability to get over with the crowd is spoken for, in every fed, and if he didn't talk you're taking away his only weakness.
