like I died last night in a area, hadnt found the map or a bench for about 35 minutes. so its back allllll the way back to the last one I rested at.

What does this idiocy add beyond tedium?
Don’t get clapped up far from a bench.

When u get to a new area, your skills are on test.

Once you figure out an area, it’s easy to make it through,

Your first time is the real challenge. You walking your ass all the way back is the “consequence” for your failure.

Do better and you won’t have to make those tedious walks:ufdup:

I beat lots of games.

You asked what’s the point of them having checkpoints scarce and paid for,

If you just respawned on each panel, new enemies and areas would be trivial.

You’d just get back up and fight them again,

The idea of being far away from a checkpoint and knowing you will need to make a long track back, creates tension and stress in the player.

That’s the point.

By far the hardest thing so far for me is the High Halls gauntlet, specifically the last part. I might need to come back to this later.
Someone in the thread earlier mentioned it but sometimes the break is what you need. I burnt out on it last night and went to bed. Woke up and did it my 3rd try. I just saved my tools for the end and then spammed those shyts.
Jesus, finally got the double jump
I rolled the credits and I still don't have that shyt. I'm trying to run around see where I forgot to go or straight up missed.

Damn, the fact that you can beat the game without double jump is wild. :mindblown:

Also, yeah, the reason why i even ran around and found DBL Jump is because im stuck at the high hall gauntlet, shyt just goes on forever. Then they basically give you a boss fight at the end of it

Finally found the double jump, high tailed it to Bile Water and got my ass handed to me :stopitslime:
