I got to chuckle when people talk race, money, job's and cost of living. The south is the place to be if your black and want to be around other black people period. So much so that when I do go to the north, west, mid west or east I forget how unusual it is to not always be around black people.


As far as passive black people in the south thats a lie, we just dont bark at white people for no reason. Its a mutual respect, the best thing about the south is if a white person is racist they let it be known. We let them rock unless they bother us. We dont let white people walk over or disrespect us though.


If your making good money and living in some high cost of living state and your just trying to live day to day you lost. Save a couple grand, job hunt for a place in the south and BUY or build the home you want.

The only bad thing about the south is the lack of variety in alot of spots and things to do. Unless you living in New Orleans, Houston, Atlanta or parts of Fl. The school system in poorer parts of most cities down south is trash too.

But as far as being around your people or at least having the option....The south is were its at.

My immediate circle isnt about that shyt at all.
I some of those i associate with went to HBCUs, Community builders etc.

Thats the weird thing about LA. Before i visited there i was going off what i seen in videos of them having black folks out everywhere with cookouts, pouring out in the streets.....bbq's on every street, a bunch of Roscoes, I almost got tricked into thinking it was a really black city.

When i finally get there i see cacs, mexicans, cacs, mexicans again, more cacs and pockets of black folks. I think i went hours without seeing black folks. Cant do that in the A. Plus the clubs shut down at 2am.

you know how big LA is? It's bigger than ATL man. Things are segregated over there.

My coworker from LA, he's mexican. Told me his whole high school was mexican, 5 black kids, 1 white dude. Besides that everybody was mexican, even the teachers.

That's just how things be over here. They divide and conquer here.

I agree with you but just wanted to comment on this part. Southern blacks, by and large, are more educated than western blacks. An A is a B in the south. Their educational system is more challenging compared to the west coast.

Southerners are smarter on average. If a A is a B in the south, that means you have to work harder to succeed. I know first hand that the strict racist school systems of the south. If you can get through a southern school, you're definitely more educated than the average west coast native.
