In recent years, there has been a massive influx of mainland Chinese people, coming down, taking our jobs, clogging our streets, taking our allocated school places (kids are allocated spots here, because schools are at capacity), giving birth in our hospitals and claiming benefits. Mainland Chinese students come to our universities and receive tens of thousands of US dollar's worth in grants each while local students struggle. They are often loud, often low class, hate us for living a better life. They are seen as a nuisance. Worse yet, the government allows this daily desecration of our city because the officials in the Chinese capital have paid them billions. Due to the increasing number of classless millionaires and rising GDP, they come down and throw money in our faces, acting as though money gives you power and authority. The worst of all this is that they are greatly boosting our economy, so we are forced to yield. It's insulting.

I say the vast, vast majority of Hong Kong citizens are highly against this. Everywhere I go, all I hear and see is complaints and hatred for the mainlanders. The better side of me acknowledges that all are equal and deserve equal opportunities, but the realistic side of me sees the changing landscape. When I was still studying in the UK years ago, Hong Kong was a beautiful place. It is still beautiful now, but it is tinged with the smell of lower-class citizens dirtying our place.

I say the ratio of people that support democracy over pre-elected puppets is about 85:15. There will always be those who support the flipside.

My ex was from China though. The only one I ever loved. Deeply. (no drake though)
:russ: chinese mss intelligence sent a chick and took this nicca's soul and silenced him:banderas::wow:

it was my first year of university in the uk.. she could legitimately cook and was a virgin before meeting me.. i taught her maad shyt in the bed and hipped her to weed. she was classy though, had top grades. her fam was paid and owned hotels..
we lived in different cities back in hong kong/china, so when she left for her city for the summer she found she was pregnant.. then some wild fukking dogs fukked around and chased her around, she fell and my child was lost. forever. fukking kills me I wasn't there with her through it all because I had to go back home for my studies :deadkid:

we drifted apart after that. we had bought the pram, learnt how to do diapers and shyt.. picked baby names and bought baby clothes.
I still got a box of the shyt under my bed. I can't bear to go near that damn box.

i feel like i missed out on the one.
I really shouldn't be posting personal shyt like this but only one dude on the coli knows me in real life so fukk it.

if you've seen the movie true lies (arnold schwarzenegger) you shouldn't believe everything. you should've asked for receipts of the dog story. she may have been on chinese mission and she too was caught up in her feelings but the chinese weren't allowing her to have the baby

I've heard that government agents will find unmarried pregnant women and force terminations. She nearly encountered these people but her relatives denied her presence there. I felt so goddamn useless

But I have been thinking whether I was hoodwinked or not. But I refuse to believe it :mjcry:

:patrice: I'm gonna leave this alone... cause it sounds like some misplaced bigotry, and is completely off topic.

I want to focus on, the coming storm of govt troops that will give zero f*cks and put protesters down in the street...:wow:
I cant wait for everyone to :ohhh::gladbron::sadcam::mjcry: and remember exactly what govt. control is:wow: and why its evil.

I'm not sure if the Chinese government will want to escalate this further to involve the military. So far it's localized riot control, and the world is watching. They're much more aware of how fast news spreads and opinions form. They wouldn't want to give a martyr to champion the cause.

I thought the Chinese government was more tactful than this.

Things are bad enough in China between,
50 people? 50?

Pollution, poverty, housing, literacy, corruption....
Mainland Chinese police give zero fukks. I saw this video of a hostage situation where a dude had a chick sitting in front of her in a bus. He had a knife to her throat, police were called, negotiators, all that shyt. Then one undercover cop waits til the hostage taker turns around and blows his fukking head clean off with a revolver. .38 special IIRC

in an unrelated story here is a policewoman who shot the fukk outta a hostage taker in a similar situation. DAYUM she looked

Yeah, that's wild. Can't say I feel much for hostage takers but there is a certain disregard for the individual in China and several other countries that really blows my mind.

Are you concerned that China may try to use it's military to end the protests as they have in mainland China in the past?

We're things "bad" under British administration for the average HK?

Did many people in HK emigrate in the face of what happened prior to and after the lease expired?

How was the issue of citizenship decided for people of HK?
