Co-sign. I watched the entire game. shyt was an abomination. Wolves suck on defense so they helped make the Rockets look good. I don't think I ever saw as many uncontested layups as there was in the game.
I personally hope the NBA does something about this. Hoisting up 3s and only taking layups is NOT basketball. I know this bullshyt will get exposed in the playoffs but for the enjoyment of the regular season, the NBA needs to change the rules. They need to move the line back and re-institute hand checking.

They need a guy who scores in the midrange. Someone like Derozan or Lamarcus or Carmelo. They NEVER get exposed in the playoffs.
(p.s. - Rockets will get exposed, but because of James Harden doing James Harden things, not because they minimize midrange shots.)
Fukk outta here. Keep the Cavs outta ya mouth. The Cavs have the best one on one scorer in the NBA (Kyrie Irving) who also happens to be a master of the mid-range pull-up so you might want to rethink that.
Kyrie was just as important as LeBron in winning games 5,6, and 7. And most of his damage was ole school iso-ball breaking his man down one on one and taking what the defense gave him whether that was the 3, the mid-range, or the drive. You know? Real basketball.
Those guys just suck. Both are overrated. I'm actually glad they teammed up so they could get exposed for putting up empty stats. Neither makes actual winning plays.
Rockets will lose to Memphis in the playoffs. A team that still plays real basketball with two bigs.
Also remember 3 years ago when the Rockets lost to the Blazers in the playoffs thanks to Lamarcus Aldridge cooking them from mid-range. He averaged close to 40ppg that series and did it almost exclusively through mid-range jumpers.
They will lose to Memphis or OKC in the first round. Rockets are like the ole school Suns. They are a regular season team that is winning because they are seducing teams to playing their style of basketball. They want a fast pace up and down game. As you said unless you are the Warriors, you're not gonna beat the Rockets in the shootout. To beat them you have to slow the game down and pound them inside so that the game turns into a slow half-court affair. In the regular season teams don't focus much so they let the Rockets dictate the style and play victim to trying to beat them at their own game. In the playoffs teams focus more and actually will try to implement this game-plan.
Expect them to get exposed once the playoffs start just the ole Suns got exposed.
No they're not. You must not watch a lot of basketball. What they did tonight was a mockery. It would not work in the playoffs. They wouldn't see defense as abysmal as they saw tonight against the T-Wolves.
Thibedou should be fired for the performance. Like I said earlier, I don't think I ever saw as many uncontested wide-open layups given up in one game as I saw tonight by the T-Wolves against the Rockets. shyt was a joke.
A team like Memphis would make quick work of the Rockets.

They're a watered down Warriors squad. Memphis gives the Warriors problems cause they take away the 3, bully you in the paint, and snatch all the rebounds. I got the Rockets losing to Memphis in 6 if they play them. This is not suitable playoff basketball and they're never gonna get those foul calls they do in the playoffs.
