As a city, I'm biased against DC, but DC does have a good amount of professional black people (although I don't know after the DOGE shyt, pun intended). I'm biased to DC as a location because of the string of cities in the northeast corridor as well. Can drive/take a train to Baltimore, Delaware, Philly, Jersey, NYC, Connecticut, and Boston. But actual living in the city, i'd lean more towards Houston then Atlanta, but maybe some residents on here can give you better descriptions.

Petty Vandross.. fukk Yall
No reason to move to houston
Unless you want to deal with
Volatile weather like hurricane season and weather not changing but maybe once a month
Traffic
Knowing flood plans before you buy a home
Have a solid career that won’t lay you off anytime soon because industry down there is tight even in Oli/gas-medicine
If you aren’t bilingual in spanish
Don’t have reliable transportation
Your repair bill on your cars will go up because of trash ass streets in certain parts
Crime is everywhere but out of towners think shyt is sweet until they find themselves in a situation and not knowing politics
Unreliable energy grid
No state taxes but property taxes kill the offset
Your car will need inspections every year
Insurance is ridiculous because of spicy ranch muthafukkas hitting and running, me no speaky, the bare minimum insurance if that on their cars/medical because of the offset of medical care they take up down here and not being able to pay for it
If you are not in the mix, you will not know what functions are really happening around town
Houston is a place to raise a family not to be single
If you are single, unless you are a top 1% ass nikka in looks or money and you are not a trick
You will have a hard time with Houston women unless you are an overall good ass nikka meaning charisma and funny
But even still, Houston women are treacherous as fukk but they get by with that Southern Hospitality until you are in too deep and in over your head
bytches will have you sitting on South Gessner and Westheimer in your feelings
I would strongly advice avoiding Texas in totality
The good doesn’t outweigh the bad

Washington D.C.
DC kind of crazy right now with the national guards and ICE patrolling the city, people protesting every week and etc.

If you can afford it then by all means move here. You don’t need a car to get around the city and your only hours away from other northeastern cities like Philly and NYC.

Depends on what you want

If you want money and bad bytches it's Houston
:mjlit:
If you hate Harlem and want to be free its
Atlanta :dame:
If you're a corny nikka that wants a 9 to 5 and to build a family its DC
:stopitslime:

lol that shyt is over blown. National Guard be popping up in my day on some Where’s Waldo shyt. Protests typically are only downtown and that’s not residential. I’m on a walk rn and I live pretty close to downtown.

This sounds like someone that does not live in DC.
