Goat, and nobody wanted to face him to close out ANY game.
It’s legitimately hard to comprehend how dominant he was for that long to the extent that there’s genuinely no room for debate as if someone else was as good as he was. Trevor Hoffman is the only closer within even 150 saves of him.

What a woat franchise:mjlol:

This will go down as one of the worst decisions in Angels history.
Honestly, the Angels should have a fire sale and rebuild the entire organization.

The Angels have just 2 players in the Top 100 prospects list (according to MLB anyway, Baseball America may be different but they're behind a paywall):
Logan O'Hoppe and Edgar Cuero. Two Catchers. That's not gonna fukkin do it.

Shohei Ohtani would be a fool to re-sign with this team.
Mike Trout is 31 years old.
Anthony Rendon might be effectively finished as a full-time player.
Taylor Ward is on some Jekyll & Hyde shyt.
Just about every other hitter sucks.

The only players under 25 years old are SS Zach Neto and SP Reid Detmers. Both fine players. Detmers looks pretty good lately. But if you think you're going to the promised land with Detmers and Ohtani...that's not even close to being enough.

The amount of prospects the Angels could stack by moving Ohtani (which they should have done last year) and Trout would instantly give them a Top 5 farm system.

By the way....do you know what the Angels' AA Minor League Affiliate team is called?

The Rocket City Trash Pandas.

How fitting is it that the team that should have some of your best future prospects has the name Trash in it?

Syndergaard has been awful this year....

I don't understand what Cleveland is doing....
Amed Rosario isn't very good and it's not like Oscar Gonzalez would be much worse.

Cleveland has a bunch of slap hitters around legit talent like Josh Naylor and Jose Ramirez.
That's one of their big problems.

Rosario will only be in the lineup against lefties. That's pretty useful.

I would have traded Thor for a bag of peanuts. I'm shocked the Dodgers got even a mid return.

Texas Rangers pounding the Houston Astros 13-3.
With Framber Valdez starting.

I need someone to leak what offers they were receiving. If teams were offering bullshyt like the Tigers got for Verlander and JD Martinez (that fukking Avila still accepted :snoop: ), then I understand. But if they were getting their pick of multiple top prospects, they are absolute fools, but that's par for the course for their organization.

You know what's wild to me is that in 2019, George Springer OPSed .974 and Alex Bregman OPSed 1.015.
That's elite.

This season, Springer is OPSing .729 and Bregman is OPSing .766.

Granted, things change in 4 years. But it's not like these guys are old as dirt. Springer is is 33 and Bregman is 29.

They've still shown flashes of being solid but I guess you take away sign stealing or PEDs or whatever the hell they were doing...and they're looking pretty damn basic.
