Right so if the reason you poor is because you spend all ya money on unnecessary expenses, you're self-made
Too many caveats outside of a phone bruh...Don't necessarily agree with that.. struggle is part of life regardless of what u spend ur bread on...from the angle u see it at I get...just don't agree that everyone is self made entirely...alot of times u just see one face...but it 20 faces behind that face to make it successful alot times like a Kanye album...

You answered your own question. Stop trying to keep up with the Jones. It takes 200$ to start a business.
Most of the struggle during the journey is being disciplined, consistent and finding the right information or mentor.
Most of us come from a single parent that makes less than 30k a year.
shyt most of the immigrants are coming here with literally nothing but making a change for themselves. "Work like a Jamaican" 3 jobs until you can purchase a house then go from there.
And this is coming from the mothers.
You just have to want it. You need to have the hunger of a 3 world human.
When you have to wake up 5 in the morning before school to walk to the creek to get ya water and bring it back to the house that will change ya mind.
When you are beat in school for getting the answer wrong that will change your mentality.
When you have to chop up baby chicks to eat from the age of 7 your hustle mentality will amplify.
When ya pillows are harden clothes
Have you ever been without shoes for 6 months?
Have you ever had to hunt and kill your food?
You never want to go back to that.
You will take this opportunity in America with grit and gratitude.
Some people complain some people make a difference.
All this assistance, help and woe is me is enabling the broke victim 'help me' mentality.

Social media has bridged what used to be a social divide between the rich and the poor. It used to be that the rich peacocked amongst their own. But now their peacocking is accessible to the masses. This has created a false sense of self for many non-wealthy people who think because they have access to these folks via social media, that they are on par (think of all the instathots that view themselves as socialites because they try to emulate the lifestyles of the Kardashians). This false sense of self contributes to delusions of grandeur, which causes people to not know the difference between needs and wants or necessities and luxuries. It all leads to financial illiteracy and mismanagement.

It's called capitalism. A system where people who own the means of product are the master of those who don't. Those who own the means of production are incentivized and by law, obligated to maximize the value of the capital that they own.

One of the ways to do this, is to invest in technologies that increase productivity.

Another way is to pay people as little as possible.

In the USA, we are in late stage capitalism. Meaning we are a highly advanced, post industrial, service based ecomomy.

There are no more gold rushes. There are no more new and exciting industries. There are no new frontiers. Human beings aren't needed for many services to function.

People are being phased out of the economy
If you don't have the advanced and deep knowledge in computer science, cyber security, IT, high corporate finance, engineering - the disciplines that are foundational to the function of a post industrial economy, you ain't making real money. However, those jobs are limited and require a significant investment in education which is expensive in the USA.

You need to make 22 an hour just to have an apartment in the USA. That's not the average hourly wage in the USA.

If you wanna be rich and wealthy with no real effort - go to Africa or Asia. That's where most of the wealth is right now and that's where most corporations are looking to invest. A late stage capitalist nation is a nation with a rigid economic hierarchy and gross inequality. People ain't buying shyt anymore besides services to make their slavery tolerable.

Africa and Asia are have some of the most underdeveloped nations in the world.

If you think there is riches to be made in the West, you haven't been paying attention the last 40 years.

If you wasn't shyt in the Dotcom boom and the post Dotcom boom, you struggling. That was your last chance to make easy money.
