The cost of living is increasing faster than our pay. It’s really going to be fukked as companies raise the minimum wage and the people in the middle don’t get a cost of living increase.

Cost of Living is up and wages are flat....many people took paycuts/got downsized in the 08 Recession and never recovered....

What if people just stopped buying? iPhones sellout every year, along with Galaxies, etc. If we stopped buying wouldn't that fix things?
I'm not knowledgeable about capitalism, but doesn't it require buying?
No that actually will slow economic growth and that makes the economy worse. That is way overstated that people are overspending. Its people that are afraid to take a vacation because of fear of losing a job lol. People that go into debt just paying for everyday shyt alot of people aren't buying things of luxury like that.

This is so true. I just had a baby and with all the medical expenses and expenses for a baby period, no vaca for us at least until 2020
most people finance phones, so this isn’t even the case.

There's quite a few careers out there that are booming and folks either don't know how or are just too lazy to get into them. I'm in one of them. Bad choices made in life can also contribute to struggling. Caught a few serious charges that can hold them back.
