I just turned 21 but when i was younger i believed the world was fair...Now im getting older and since i moved out ive had few nikka wake up calls. If you let it that shii will have you either depressed or mad just thinking about it

But im tryna hear some gems that the young buls can use to make sure they get ahead in life. I asked my folks and they essentially didnt say shii

in part bc they just dont know much about finances and school, and in part bc of where they're from

but lack of knowledge is pretty common among black families, im just tryna change that.
Someone drop some gems for the young niccas.
BUSINESS
Owning a business is better than having a job. If you can get a business off the ground, the American finance and tax system favors business owners.
Businesses thrive for 2 reasons (A) You do something CHEAPER than anyone else, (B) You do something BEFORE anyone else thinks of it, or (C) You do something BETTER than everyone else.
If you want lots of money, but don't want to bust your ass, then I got no advice for you.
SCHOOL
College debt will follow you the rest of your life. Bankruptcy won't help you get rid of it. They will garnish your fukking social security when you get old. It ain't like ANY OTHER type of debt. General rule is: Do not borrow more than you plan on making in your first year of work. This will limit your choices, but save you from yourself.
So go where is cheapest. State schools are great. Private schools are good if you can get that scholarship $$. DO NOT go to a for-profit school like DeVry or University of Phoenix. It's a big con.
WORK
TV and Media jobs are for ivy leaguers. It's all about who you know. Don't even try unless you know people. Same for pretty much anything that looks cool and glamorous. Chances are there's a line of blonde college-educated yuppie chicks a mile long, ready to suck the big boss' dikk to get any type of "cool job." Unless you like cock sucking as a profession I wouldn't recommend media.
Tech and engineers are underpaid, and work hard. Your job can disappear overnight. If you're cut out for this field you probably know it already.
ACCOUNTING gets overlooked because it's boring as fukk. But it is a sure ticket to a good job, and it isn't too difficult. It is way more interesting if you think of it as ways to legally con people. People trust accountants, and they make it to executive-levels way more often than they should.
LAW SCHOOL is royally fukked. Don't even bother. They've been graduating more lawyers than there are law jobs for about 20 years now.
If you want "safety in numbers", traditionally, local governments hire large numbers of black people. You won't get wealthy but it's a good backup plan for anybody.
INVESTING
If you start making a little bit of $$$ and don't know exactly what to do with it --
max out your employer's 401k. Put them in INDEX FUNDS that hold STOCKS. ("Index" fund means you don't pay some cocksucker extra fees to gamble with your money. ) Don't touch it til you get old. Don't try to be a wise-ass who "trades stocks." Traders lose money.
if anybody tries to tell you about gold, or silver, or baseball cards, or "the dollar is going to fall to zero" or whatever, tell them to go fukk themselves. Conspiracy theories will make you lose your money. remember the saying: "the market can stay irrational longer than you can stay solvent."
