How can you be from the hood and root for a "culture vulture" to end Meek Mill's career?

I'm a fan of both Meek and Drake's music, but how can you root for a guy that a number of rappers have called a "culture vulture" over the guy who really started from the bottom?

i'm not asking whose music you prefer. i'm not asking who won the battle.

i'm asking how can you wanna see this dude fail at the hands of a "cultural appropriator"

What are you talking about ? Is there some rule that you have to have been born completely broke and penniless to rap ? Drake makes better music than meek and didn't start a rap beef over nonsense and go Twitter crazy. And the people rooting for Jail are idiots true but there isn't some rule either you root for meek or you want him in jail and aren't a real fan of hip hop .


Also looking at drakes musical heritage shouldn't I root for drake ?

He came up from the dirt, if you actually grew up around black people you probably knew a nikka or two like Meek, and regardless of his "twitter fingers" it's always nice to see a dusty nikka from the hood come up and actually make it in the game

Drake is from the richest part of Canada. Was a child actor. Paid for ghost written verses on his very first mix tape. Basically bought his way into the game.

If you compare the background Meek came from to Drake....then yes, unless you're a dikk riding stan Meek's ascension is far more impressive than Drake's, because comparatively speaking he had to
over come far more.

There is no alternate definition of "the bottom". Knock that shyt off. You fools want to have it both ways. Want to applaud whatever phantom "struggle" Drake had to endure to make it, but sit there and trivialize Meek's life as "oh, his parents made bad decisions". It's clown shyt.

There's not a rule that says it but everyone loves an underdog. There's nothing that says Drake shouldn't be where he is. Meek becoming a millionaire was a lot more unlikely than Drake doing it.

Also,'don't say he started a rap beef over nonsense. He started a rap beef because the top guy in the sport was cheating, while proclaiming that he had the best pen. Also, sold him a verse that he didn't write. There's a such thing as artistic integrity. Who's to say that it's just Meek just really respects Hip Hop and was disgusted by it?
