How can you be from the hood and root for a "culture vulture" to end Meek Mill's career?

Who cares who is from the hood. I post on the coli :laff:
I'm about empowering my people, don't give a fcuk about convicted felons who promote destructive activities from the comforts of their Olde City condos. :what:
I like meek but he ain't getting my blind support because his parents made fcuked up decisions and raised him broke with struggle braids

Someone has some god damned sense

Someone dapped one of my old posts on Meek, and reading that post I was reminded that even years ago the internet hated Meek, always. He received a brief flurry of fake love because of the surprising success of his album (social media is built around dikk riding and bandwagons)+ bagging Nicki, but outside of that, Meek was never popular in cyber space.

That's OK. As long as he feeds the hood he will be good, and frankly that's the only place that matters in Hiphop, the streets and the clubs. Drake knows this that's why despite all is intial success he's been moving further and further away from the emo rap realm into the hood realm.

nikkas are totally missing his point, how surprising :mjlol:

If you're black and from a lower middle class to poor upbringing you should be able to relate to Meek Mill's come up rather than Drake's, period.

And don't even come at me with some simpleton ass "I don't relate to killing black men like Meek raps about" bullshyt. Meek aint rapping about anything 90% of rappers aint already rapping about. Some of y'all act like Meek invented gangster and materialistic rapping the way yall always wanna point out his lyrics:martin:

He came up from the dirt, if you actually grew up around black people you probably knew a nikka or two like Meek, and regardless of his "twitter fingers" it's always nice to see a dusty nikka from the hood come up and actually make it in the game:blessed:
nikka please! Actually nope! "I'm riding through my old hood, but I'm in my new whip" is he inspiring hood people or shytting on them? Just catalog everybody as a hater and keep it moving? On Lord Knows he proclaims he's cocky as hell.
So much for humility. If you're from the hood and still in it like I am, you despise nikkas like Meek. That's the dude you wanna rob not uphold.

I'm a fan of both Meek and Drake's music, but how can you root for a guy that a number of rappers have called a "culture vulture" over the guy who really started from the bottom?

i'm not asking whose music you prefer. i'm not asking who won the battle.

i'm asking how can you wanna see this dude fail at the hands of a "cultural appropriator"

how can you root for a man to go to jail because he dissed drake?

:mindblown:
He cried in court and said he wasn't a gangster. Then ran back to the studio to put the finishing touches on a mixtape about selling dope and committing black on black violence. I'd rather have dudes out here acting like cornball ass Drake than Robert.

nikkas in their true essence are women. They make no fuxking sense about anything. You bring up valid stuff they can't contend, you get negged instead of being proven wrong. Smh. Some woman shyt.

He's from the hood and was poor so that should matter. Ironically, the biggest supporters, people with fukking money, aren't hood people. At all.

Vincent "The Chin" Gigante was the head of the Genovese crime family after John Gotti got incarcerated....his title was literally "The Boss Of All Bosses"....

And dude pretended to be a drooling lunatic in court to avoid jail time. He didn't do this once. He carried on this act over two decades. He'd wander the streets for hours dressed in a bath robe.

So I'm :dead: that you presented "he cried in court" as some kinda slam dunk. The fukk did you expect him to do? :blessed:"Yes your honor, I'm a gangster". :martin:

And for the cheap seats, no I'm not equating Meek to a mob boss. Hopefully I don't have to explain this deeper than that.

Side note, this is where Ghostface got his bathrobe style from.

Fred.
