How can you be from the hood and root for a "culture vulture" to end Meek Mill's career?

I'm a fan of both Meek and Drake's music, but how can you root for a guy that a number of rappers have called a "culture vulture" over the guy who really started from the bottom?

i'm not asking whose music you prefer. i'm not asking who won the battle.

i'm asking how can you wanna see this dude fail at the hands of a "cultural appropriator"

how can you root for a man to go to jail because he dissed drake?

:mindblown:
Man these kids so fukkin confused man...this is the first generation to have gay/transgender shyt thrown in their face as tho it's normal...it's the first to have a "NO SNITCHIN" policy placed upon them as tho certain people don't deserve to be snitched upon when we all know they really do. It's the first generation to really have the message sent to them that doing the right thing and having good principles doesn't mean having success...but rather having a SLIME like attitude will help you prosper (da fukk:wtf:)...everything about our society today is about getting ahead and preferably without morals. That's why someone like Drake can be relevant today...and because of their learned ideology this may end up being the most financially destitute (broke) generation ever:snoop:

Vincent "The Chin" Gigante was the head of the Genovese crime family after John Gotti got incarcerated....his title was literally "The Boss Of All Bosses"....

And dude pretended to be a drooling lunatic in court to avoid jail time. He didn't do this once. He carried on this act over two decades. He'd wander the streets for hours dressed in a bath robe.

So I'm :dead: that you presented "he cried in court" as some kinda slam dunk. The fukk did you expect him to do? :blessed:"Yes your honor, I'm a gangster". :martin:

And for the cheap seats, no I'm not equating Meek to a mob boss. Hopefully I don't have to explain this deeper than that.

Side note, this is where Ghostface got his bathrobe style from.

Fred.
He had the right to plead the fifth instead of going the bytch route. I'm trying to become an attorney so I know. He didn't have to speak. No admission of guilt or cop a plea. So, these threats and records may be used against him since he is on record. The judge is going to be like is it oochie Wally or is it one mic? :troll:

I put culture vulture in quotes because thats what rappers have called him, those arent my words.

I wouldnt call him a culture vulture....but blackening up your voice in certain settings and taking slang/style from regions you arent from is what these rappers are referring to i guess. I understand where theyre coming from.

Can you read?

I said "from", not "in".
he is an actor. being a rapper is his latest role. he has studied the "southern black american male" for years and finally is getting his chance to show how he has evolved as an actor from degrassi to now

You're trying to understand the minds of a generation who are apathetic about rappers spitting "freestyles" from their Cell Phones...

That shyt would've gotten your ass whooped in the 80s/90s...

Smack DVD with Pre-Written Battle Verses has conditioned cats to only care about the RESULT & not the PROCESS...

This is the world we live in now... :mjcry:

Could you imagine in the 90's someone pulling out a notepad during "The Wake Up Show" freestyle segment? :wtf:

I like Drake's music & all but the reaction these kids had after those leaks shocked the hell out of me... :skip:

As soon as you come to terms with the fact that Drake is this era's Eminem; and that this era is MUCH different from the previous one...it all makes sense. Hip-Hop is big business, tied into all sorts of marketing and brand from corporate sponsors. He's tied up with the NBA, Apple, Sprite, Universal Music Group and the City of Toronto (which is growing in a major way on a WORLD stage)

All of these entities have the ability to shape and guide the masses towards certain trends and ideas, and it is very much in their best interest to not let Drake fail unless he actually does something awful (criminal charge, rape/sexual assault) in which case they will throw him under the bus on their OWN terms in a way that benefits them. Id be highly surprised if they let Drake fall over some petty rap beef over who writes lyrics and who is actually from the hood...
yeah thats the real bottom line

nikkas in their true essence are women. They make no fuxking sense about anything. You bring up valid stuff they can't contend, you get negged instead of being proven wrong. Smh. Some woman shyt.

He's from the hood and was poor so that should matter. Ironically, the biggest supporters, people with fukking money, aren't hood people. At all.
That's why I don't take dudes seriously on here. If you're pro-black, you would support a dude like Aubrey. He comes from a good neighborhood and raps about Sensitive Guy shyt. I think we've all had enough time to see the result of "I'm a thug, extendos, flip bricks, kill a nikka, fukk bytches" anthems. Cops out here killing kids and these dumb ass nikkas still out here reciting poems about black on black crime.

And as far as the "he's from the hood" shyt, that's only valid if you're doing something positive and uplifting. You can't be crying over skid bids and yammering about shooting dudes and selling dope and be some type of role model. Talking bout "Dreamchasers". nikka, you mean to tell me your dream was to be loaned tens of thousands of dollars from Jews to sing carols about black on black violence?

:yeshrug: The same way most of the coli posters say Rick Ross won the 50 beef.... Even though 50 had some dude fukk his baby mama on camera RAW and exposed the man for being a fraud (not only is he a fake drug lord, but a C.O. at that)
:yeshrug: It's a new era Breh. Get over it.

I don't root for none of these nikkas. I just wanna hear good diss records and Meek has yet to provide that.
