Age has nothing to do with it. Karl Malone and Jordan averaged over 27 at 33 years old.. Malone averaged over 20 at 39 years old.. I think he been trash ever since that problem with Lala..
You realize both players you mentioned had MUCH more dedication to conditioning and staying in shape?

Age DOES have something to do with it if you let yourself get fat.

All this out of shape talk, yet not report of any of this talk from the organization or former players turned analysts.

Cats making it seem like dude is averaging 5 points per game on 32% shooting or some shyt.

he was never a top tier athlete to begin with and used dribble moves and post ups to score, and that can carry you well into your 30s like Paul Pierce. But dude doesn't even look like an NBA player anymore. What the hell happened?

Don't comapare Paul Pierce to Melo, man. Pierce was still making all star teams at at age 33 and 34.

it would if he got into better shape.

wade was looking like trash earlier this year too because he was out of shape.

i think melo got one more run in him if he gets in shape. he rich as fukk though so he might just be content with it. :yeshrug:

Once you lose the lift, your shot goes.

He needs to lose like 15lbs

Pierce lost it, when he went from the Wiz to the Clippers. Look at Wade now

Also, Melo is a dumb player

Again, stop comparing Pierce to Melo. Pierce was 38 years old when he went to the Clippers. He was still making all star teams and leading his team in scoring at Melo's current age.

No it's a great comparison.
His point is why melos didn't age while pierces did even tho both were unathletic .

No, it's a terrible comparison because they were never the same type of player or had the same type of drive. I don't care how similar their bodies were or are. Paul Pierce had that MJ drive to be great and leave a legacy.

He hasn't been able to into a rhythm because of how the offense is built around Russ running in the paint and backing up if the paint is clogged then a past to PG to do the same then a pass to Melo with the clock going down add in passes for threes and dribbling to take threes another way the Thunder score is off putbacks add the fact that fast breaks are forced to Russ for the tripple doubles it's evident that the three are black holes but Russ is the biggest

Melo a career .449 shooter with over 25,000 next season should be his last

Carmelo has multiple problems

-He takes very inefficient shots.

Carmelo lives off of long two point shots which is the same amount as a post move, lay-up or dunk and since he never learned about being a spot up or catch and release three point shooter his inefficiency exasperates as he ages ( this is the same thing that happen to Rudy gay)

- Horrible defender

Again, with this new format in the league every player Carmelo has to guard is capable of shooting the three. It makes his defensive lapses deadly for a team like OKC ( which already has a below average defender in Westbrook).

Father Time is undefeated (expect for LeBron who still looks like a 22 year old)

Wade, Melo, Kobe, Dirk, TD, KG, they all turned flabby in their late 30s and can’t be in shape like the young guys.
Bron probably has the GOAT genes. Scientists need to study him
All of these dudes were starter or All-Star quality in their 30s though. Melo doesn't look like a starter anymore
he's never shot below 42% before this season and has shot above 48% from the field in multiple seasons. I wouldn't call that inefficient. you can take as many shots as you want if you are making nearly half.
He's shot 48% twice in 15 seasons and the last season was literally 10 years ago :skip: all while taking only 2-3 threes a game till he got to New York. For a player with his size and skillset he hasn't been that efficient
