How come women do everything possible to look better except losing weight?

Not fat but I've gained weight to the point where I would look in the mirror and decide that it's getting out of control. At that point I would lose it.

Well if you've never been fat before, you can't really understand the struggle it is to lose weight and develop/maintain a healthy lifestyle. Just sayin.

Chemically the way a woman loses weight and the way a man loses weight are two different things. Just like how a man will be able to build muscle way faster than a woman. A woman will be hard pressed to lose fat in their gut, which I'm sure will depress a lot of women's efforts quickly, even for the thin chicks who just want to knock off those last few pounds.

If a woman is being responsible and takes birth control, shyt's gonna be hard as fukk.

Add on a menstrual cycle with bloating and cravings (and a lot of women eat comfort food on their periods just to feel better lol).

I'm sure estrogen has to reek some kind of havoc in that process as well.

All that + given the diet most Americans are raised on, it's gonna be hard for chicks to lose weight, especially at the diet.

"Fit" for a woman is skinny. Fit for a man can be big, but just toned/not sloppy or moderately skinny, but toned, or just skinny. Women don't have that privilege. That's why it's best for chicks to set it straight as soon as they see the first sign of flub.

It takes less than a week to drop 5 lbs.

Let's keep it 100.
That's mostly water weight. I've dropped 7 in a week - but dropping 5 lbs doesn't mean you're in shape if you got like 40 lbs more to go lol

See, this is all I wanted.

Really, I just wanted illustrate that walking isn't just an excuse not to run.

A lady 50 lbs over weight isn't gonna be able to start off as Lola Jones and run every way.

It's easier to walk for 25 mins straight (no breaks), than, it is to run 25 mins straight (no breaks). After 25 mins of runnin', the average person is done, if you've only been walking, you prolly good for another 25.

But, for cardo, of course; runnin' >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>walkin'.

And women also need to stop being scared of lifting weights. They think 25 minutes a day is gonna try them into a jacked up bodybuilder, when, that's not even the case for us.

Those guys use supplements to be able to lift for hours and hours to get that big. It's even harder for women, because, they dont naturally produce enough testosterone to be able to develop muscles like men.

But, I'm always open to be told I'm wrong---but, I got feelings, too :to:
I only do about 30 mins on the treadmill or elliptical (or I jog outdoors) - but the rest is lifting. I love weights, squats, leg lifts etc. Cardio is my least fave, but I feel like I have to do it also.

Do you know how easy it is to apply make up? Getting your hair done and nails done only requires you to go to the place. You're really not doing any work, the people you're paying are. It takes a lot more effort to eat right and work out.

I've heard this from female co-workers and friends so many times when I mention that I go to the gym. They either complain that they need to lose weight or simply don't care enough to do anything about it. Once you hit that fitness lifestyle and see results, there is no turning back.
