How could going to a HBCU possibly benefit me more than a PWI would?

Auburn is a public school that costs $40,000+ OOS????? :dahell: And :dead: at people killing the OP for not going the HBCU. :scusthov: at going to college in South. No diversity whatsoever.

:dahell: There can't be diversity amongst black people or have you drenched yourself in the liberal idea that diversity is represent by 1 black, 1 asian, 1 white female and 6 white dudes? :dead:

And stop playing yourself. Diversity to a 18-22 year old black male = non-black women. It has nothing to do with actually wanting to diversify his social group.

breh, what's wrong with doing business with your own people?
Nothing. I'm all for doing business with Black people, but only if it's a smart decision. Blacks don't have as many businesses as White people and that is a fact. It all depends on where you want to end up in life honestly.

Y'all acting like saving 14k wouldn't swing y'all decision.
This is the coli breh. Trust me, when you see that outstanding balance, that's when you realize the shyt is real. $14k extra is no joke.

Where did I say it did?

Auburn is just closer, cheaper, and from what I read I most likely won't have to deal with shyt I'd get at a HBCU.

I'm just tryna get through college and get my own classroom one day breh.

For me diversity means different ethnicities. My roommates at St. John's were Mexican, Syrian, 1/2 Pakistani and Black, Mulatto and white. My alma mater Baruch College is one of the most diverse colleges in the world. I guess my view of diversity goes past one race :manny:

You gonna feel alienated as a black person at a PWI son...especially one like Auburn that's 81% white.

You're basically a black dot on a white sheet of paper at that point.
He'd feel alienated once he enters the workforce., better to get experience working with them now then to be complete shook later on.

Alienation can be delayed but not denied.

More connections? lol Ask any brotha outside of athletics who went to a PWI, whether or not they keep in touch with their college buddies ie business connections or friendships. :mjlol:
You don't network with people you go to college with. I'm not talking friends here. I'm talking companies. You think many of the best companies, statistics wise, have HBCUs on high on their lists when it comes time to recruit for internships/jobs?

:mjlol: We still peddling this non-sense as if white people are some alien race of people? Who the fukk is shook of white people when the country is damn near 70 percent white. If you live in this country you've had to deal with them at one point or another. If you've ever had a job, you've dealt with white people. Been to a mall? White people everywhere. :heh: doesn't mean you have to sacrifice the most important years of your life "studying" them. SMH

Exactly. These dudes act as if they are the first to go to a PWI, like a HBCU is going to miss their presence. :pachaha:

The little white boys you kicked it with in high school who you thought were "down" will act like you don't exist once they hit college and enter cacdom(fraternities and just life). You won't even exist on their social networks..Now when you graduate peep all your friends who went to HBCU's. They forged lifelong friendships. Meaningful friends that are essential to surviving as a black man in this country. Good luck OP :salute: but better men have run the gauntlet and ended up with egg on their face.

So a dude going to somewhere like Duke or Stanford wouldn't build some great connections by just simply going there? One of the main reasons Ivy League schools so desirable is because of the connections you're gonna make at those schools.

We aren't talking about those institutions. Maybe I should clarify. We are talking fukking Auburn. :aicmon: Duke, Stanford and other top tier institutions speak for themselves. Auburn doesn't. Don't mistake football prowess for academic prowess.
