Auburn is just closer, cheaper, and from what I read I most likely won't have to deal with shyt I'd get at a HBCU.

For me diversity means different ethnicities. My roommates at St. John's were Mexican, Syrian, 1/2 Pakistani and Black, Mulatto and white. My alma mater Baruch College is one of the most diverse colleges in the world. I guess my view of diversity goes past one race

You don't network with people you go to college with. I'm not talking friends here. I'm talking companies. You think many of the best companies, statistics wise, have HBCUs on high on their lists when it comes time to recruit for internships/jobs?

If you live in this country you've had to deal with them at one point or another. If you've ever had a job, you've dealt with white people. Been to a mall? You won't even exist on their social networks..Now when you graduate peep all your friends who went to HBCU's. They forged lifelong friendships. Meaningful friends that are essential to surviving as a black man in this country. Good luck OP but better men have run the gauntlet and ended up with egg on their face.

We aren't talking about those institutions. Maybe I should clarify. We are talking fukking Auburn. Duke, Stanford and other top tier institutions speak for themselves. Auburn doesn't. Don't mistake football prowess for academic prowess.
