A couple things

-She tried to go pop & failed, losing the urban crowd while not gaining middle America either

-She put her career on the backburner trying to be a socialite following around the Kardashians

-She was bytchy & egotistical when she was hot so when she started falling off no one in the industry helped her

-In her prime she had a huge teen fanbase, and they grew up & moved on

-She got a negative reputation & became a popular person to clown on, same happened to Keri Hilson

-Rumor, Rihanna had her blackballed

Future slowed down her fall off, Body Party was a hit & their relationship/subsequent fall off kept her name in the blogs. And getting with Russell was the best financial move she ever made, she was a couple months away from doing L&HH and opening up for B2K

nikka I’m saying when she first came out she couldn’t miss lmaoo, like all of her singles and anything she was featured on from 04-07 was a SMASH hit

Ciara was a product of the crunk era. She was even billed the "Princess of Crunk &B". She still managed to have some hits after her debut most notably "Get Up" and "Promise", but neither were as big as "Goodies" or "1,2 Step" or even "Oh". Her debut was her ceiling.

That and, well, she grew up and her audience didn't grow with her. It didn't help matters that she dropped "Like A Boy" in the midst of those crazy rumors that she was a man.

Yeah fell off over a decade ago. Tried to stay hot with 50, got the jt stimulus, but album flopped, tried to get ratchet with the dikk riding song, got the future stimulus, got the Russ stimulus. But nobody checking for her music.
