What's crazy is people tried to say her career mirrored Aaliyah's. Huge difference. Aaliyah's biggest album wasn't her first one. Her biggest hits came after her sophomore album. Ciara was on the decline after album one. When she started the third album cycle, it was push back after push back, and it flopped even with T-Pain and Justin Timberlake featured on the singles.

Ciara never had a dedicated fanbase like that. She had a couple of hits and really fell off after that last song with luda in 09. Got lucky and got with future and got production from Mike Will at his peak. That was never gonna last though

Same thing that’s happens to almost everybody. She struggled to stay relevant and adjust with the shift in music. She tried to change with the times, but in the process her original fan base left and she didn’t connect with younger fans.
