I don't take cacs opinions to highly on trying to tell me who is lyrical and who isn't....if you don't think Kendrick Lamar is a lyrical rapper....then please just stop listening to the genre of hip hop all together....

Reason is cause he talks about shyt, what does "no ones checking" mean? He's not on a major so his shyt isn't promoted everywhere? Kendrick talks about different stuff cause he's a different person, that's all it is...

Yeah, this forum have so much hate going around that when ever there is a serious music discussion going on people instantly get defensive and provoked.

I joined this message board cus I love talking to people with different opinions about what I love. But when ever there is serious discussion it quickly get derailed where people start feuding instead of speaking on the topic.

Since Wu Tang forever. Nah if you read the thread I'm talking about what's considered a 'lyrical' MC. @OnlyInCalifornia had a good point that I agreed with. Kendrick can evoke emotion from his lyrics (ala 2pac on a much lower scale) which is in a way being lyrical. Whereas I view MC'ing like Nas, Rebel INS, Black Thought, Mos Def, Common, Jay Elec as more MC lyrical/lyricist. But I can see the case for both.
