I recall going to a No Limit concert when they were at the peak of their hype and success. To this day, that was the best concert I ever been to..... Ever

I was on No Limit heavy. Since Master P's West Coast Bad boyz, Ghettos Tryna Kill Me, TRU, The Shocker, No Limit High For Xmas, Ice Cream Man, Lil Ric. No Limit has a gang of clasics.

But that Mac "shell Shocked" was absolutley dope :wow:

Silkk-Charge it 2 da game
Ghetto D
The Shocker
The Last Meal
Mystikal-Unpredictable
Bout it soundtrack
Down South Hustlaz compilation
West Coast Bad Boyz Comp
I got the hook up sdtk
Mac Shell shocked, WW3
Ghetto Fabolus
Kane & Able_7 deadly Sins

Were all solid releases or classics :wow:

I still have damn near the entireNo Limit Catalouge

I copped a few of their albums and they had a lot of catchy tunes. I don't know if generic is a term, but...:leostare:

I actually liked Snoop's 1st run on the label...:manny:

I was listening through the No Limit Greatest Hits on iTunes, most of it was :trash:

anyone who says they weren't putting out 90% trash is riding the nostalgia wave

best No Limit albums were Top Dogg and Tha Last Meal, because Snoop Dogg was allowed to use his own producers and do what the fukk he wanted

:comeon: Tru 2 da Game and Ghetto D >>> any Snoop album besides Doggystyle (obviously)

Norfeast groovin…
lol, it's crazy when I stumble on this thread I just so happened to be playin on youtube.

Its sucks how CMR and NL never collabed, them street nikka rosters(especially No Limit) were Hip Hop HOF worthy on some hood legends shyt. A posse cut in like 1997-98ish with C-Murder, Soulja Slim, Fiend, Young Bleed feat the Hot Boy$. That shyt woulda been realer than reality. :mindblown:

P only started dropping shyt every 2 weeks once he got with Priority. He wasn't dropping shyt twice a month when he was independent.

See this waht im talking about here. With all the subpar music No Limit had a person could miss out on a gem like this. I no P was looking out for his crew but he should have just put them on a compilation album and push the artists who actually had talent and a chance at longevity. Like really who the fukk bought a Mercedes album except to have that cover of her bent over.

he wasnt doin it with priority either...he got to priority in 95...

he didnt flood the game at all..he was testin priority ....he still had a deal with southwest for distribution...

he didnt let priority handle none of the distribution til he got a tip in 99 that southwest was goin under...thats when he let priority handle the distribution

kuz how u go from droppin 38 albums 98-99

let priority handle it....albums release #s jus drop...to droppin 12 albums in a 2 yr spend...when jus the last 2 yrs...he was droppin em left and right..

had southwest stayed above water..

every album advertised in those inserts would have dropped...why u think he left to universal

southwest made p alot of money...southwest was his connect...hell alot of labels connect..when southwest went under...alot of labels took a loss..

nikkas with deals didnt wanna work with the majors...when they was gettin work done for cheap..

rap game in the south was the dope game...in a since...nikkas was eatin good with southwest...like 500 labels...

they go under...only 6 of them hoes lasted... then...

and right now...sick wid it ...cashmoney and rap-a-lot the last of that southwest era

when southwest died..p couldnt drop like wanted...and have so many albums out...ppl couldnt pick up the game p was runnin....notice the soundtracks n compilations jus stopped

all them nikkas did 100-200k sale wise...

it wasnt really about the gold n platinum with p..it was a numbers game...to p...

it was about him takin nikkas u never heard of...and makin em 100k-200k sold...with no promotion cept in the inserts...

alot of nikkas on here...who was fan of no limit...couldnt tell u who half them nikkas was in the beginning...

numbers talk...

and majors r watchin seein who moving units with no help...
