That is the most common theory.

A few years ago Flesh from BONE said Wu/BONE had a real serious street level beef, not some rap shyt. Wu and/or their affiliates were being investigated for several murders in Ohio in the 90's. Also Wise died out there.

Tying the two things together doesn't really seem like a stretch IMO.

Fred.

knowing that Wu has notoriouus haters in the crew,no pu intended....I think its safe to say jealousy was the more likely cause,i think Consequence basically said the same recently.

Dumb question.

The group and the individuals were way more dynamic and came first...no brainer. A dramatized Wu-Tang movie sounds like a good idea on the surface but I just don't know how well they could flesh something like that out. Look at the NWA movie and the screen time split between Dre, Cube and E...who are going to be the central characters for the Wu? Rza? Meth? Ghost? It's gonna be like 6 or 7 MC Ren's of he movie.

Meth is easily the biggest star and it's only so long you can follow that nikka around with a camera and watch him get high :mjlol:

A doc would probably be better even though I would still be excited to see it. Now a Jay/Nas movie set in the early/mid 90's where you can have cameos from all kinds of rappers while focusing on the two front runners would be gold.

Don't think it mattered who came first. James Brown pre-dated a lot of artists who got biopics before he did. NWA's legacy, impact, and influence >>>>> Wu.

A Wu movie would actually be extremely ill if done right.

Knowing how thing related to the Wu have been going these pasy tears, that's a big if.

I agree with brehs saying a documentary would be better. There's way too many stories, plus some stuff prob can't be easily shown due to legal issues. And we all know some kind of internal beef will cast a dark shadow over whatever direction is chosen. Plus yeah, NWA individuals have more star power than Wu cats.

beyond rza? not sure

nwa's movie only succeeded because of ice cube and dre's power through media

well mostly dre

The movie succeeded for far more reasons than that. Straight Outta Compton is one of the most impactful and influential albums ever. NWA's music is something that's perfect for what's going on in this country now. Outside of Dre and Cube, you still had Eazy and much of his legacy was left out of the movie. Throw in Death Row/Suge and all the drama that went along with it, NWA basically having America shook, the internal and external beefs, the break up, the attempts to reconcile, their own personal turmoil and you have success.

The Wu story is way too big for a movie, just the beginning of their career up until the release/succes of 36 chambers might make a movie already
