How did NWA get a movie before Wu-tang?

I really hope they never try this. Wu probably got more crazy stories than anyone other than Pac but none of that shyt would translate to a hollywood flick. Imagine the dialogue....some 38 yr old white dude from LA writing the script trying to get the slang and swag of each member down

Wu-tang may not make for a better Hollywood movie than NWA, mainly because they have more than double the members of NWA, but a Wu movie still could be really dope if done properly. Wu a greater group than NWA. It is what it is my n!ggas. Wu the GOAT group.

I'm not up on their history like that but with this many members they'll need to take time to flesh out the characters, maybe introduce Killah Priest and watch him sleep his chance away near the end
My point was really that the run of the wu is so much longer than nwa's was

a better story how? Wu Tang is just 9 nikkas that can rhyme really good, they made couple classic albums, toured the world, the end.

They didnt have the impact on music or society like NWA.. and Dre,Cube, Eazy E are more influential and bigger names by far than any Wu member

Wu tangs story goes deep, if u think the group is about 9 dudes that can jus rhyme ur mistaken. As individuals they'll all have much interesting stories than anyone in nwa bar maybe eazy e.

Cube and dre were frauds, ren was a street dude and eazy was the only Don. With wu u have 9 dudes, all thorough and all had their own team that ran shyt. Ghost and rea used to shoot at each other before rza brought em in. Meth would have got shot up if rza hadn't have called him over to hear him spit

Nwa story begins at the music and ends at death row. Wu tang story starts from the 80s on streets till now. These dudes have a fbi files on them from drug game and weapon smuggling they used to do between new York and ohio. Dumb question.

The group and the individuals were way more dynamic and came first...no brainer. A dramatized Wu-Tang movie sounds like a good idea on the surface but I just don't know how well they could flesh something like that out. Look at the NWA movie and the screen time split between Dre, Cube and E...who are going to be the central characters for the Wu? Rza? Meth? Ghost? It's gonna be like 6 or 7 MC Ren's of he movie.

Meth is easily the biggest star and it's only so long you can follow that nikka around with a camera and watch him get high

A doc would probably be better even though I would still be excited to see it. Now a Jay/Nas movie set in the early/mid 90's where you can have cameos from all kinds of rappers while focusing on the two front runners would be gold.

A Jay/Nas movie would be gold and a Wu-tang movie wouldn't because they'll have to follow Meth around all movie while he's getting high? Get the fvck outta here.

And at cats talking about "ohhhh, Dre and Cube is way more popular than any Wu member". What the fvck does that have to do with making a good movie? Plus both them n!ggas put so much in Straight Outta Compton it's hilarious. Puffy got killed for what he got put into Notorious but cats ain't even scrutinizing Dre and Cube enough for the laugh out loud bullsh!t that Dre and Cube put in the NWA flick. Only real gangsta in that crew was Eazy and they tried to make him some crybaby that was going broke before his death. And Cube and Dre () was fvcking people up and G's. Wu got REAL gangstas that were busting guns, fvcking n!ggas up and selling drugs.
