How did NWA get a movie before Wu-tang?

NWA is more impactful because of the timing of their music but I would love to see a Wu film. I think Public Enemy needs one

Because NWA were rap poineers. They were cursing when NY was scared to on the mic. They even showed it in the NWA movie

fukk the Police is the boldest and most dangerous rap song ever. No other group was brave enough to come out that hard.

Wu Tang is just known to have a different creative sound but they didn't do anything to shock the world like NWA.

The Bone beef wasn't a East/West thing. It was some street sh!t, that had nothing to do with music.

And yea, Wu the greatest group of all time. And they are not only more talented than NWA...they are waaaaay more talented. NWA had 1 dope producer and 2 n!ggas who knew how to rhyme. Wu has 1 dope producer and a GANG of n!ggas who know how to rhyme. NWA has 1 rapper that is a GOAT level MC, Wu has 4 or 5.

Haven't read the thread but commercial appeal wise, outside of Meth "All That I Need" and "Shimmy", that's it. They're essentially an underground group. Not going to appeal as much as NWA.

I actually think there should be less hip hop biopics unless the project was financed by black people. Hollywood is notoriously racist. Do you really want rich, gay Jews re-telling the personal stories of your favorite rapper through a racist, liberal lens? I didn't watch the NWA movie but I wouldn't be surprised if they put a gay character in there or in the future 2Pac movie. No way are these studio execs going to paint black people in a positive light.
