FSU and Miami falling off at the same time moved the SEC to the forefront.. Before the SEC got hot FSU and Miami pretty much ran the south the only SEC schools that were moving units were Florida,Tennessee and Alabama until they fell off in mid 90s. Look back at the SEC in the 90s and you'll see a lot of shytty football. SEC didn't start getting better until Saban got LSU up and running and Tuberville did good work at Auburn same with Richt going to UGA all around the same timeframe. SEC before that was a 3 team conference majority of the time.

Auburn had their years in the 90s IIRC. Were just on probation. The SEC east was the more dominant division in the 90s.

Looking back cfb was way more top heavy in mid 90s

ACC- FSU
SEC- Florida and Tennessee
Big 8/12- Nebraska
Big Ten was deepest conference
Pac 12- Cluster of teams USC fell off by this point
Big East- Va Tech and Syracuse

Auburn was good from 93-97 then slipped after Bowden had his problems. The east and west were 2 team divisions back outside of Arkansas having a lucky season in 95 Miss St was always 7-4 type of program but the bottom of the sec was pathetic. Dinardo had a few decent years at LSU but Saban made that look like childs play year 2.

You said bowl season didnt count last year cause teams dont get up for them cause it aint the chip game. Now they matter cause the sec fell off :russ:. You something else

No. I said bowl games don't matter to a team like Bama that competes for national titles every year. Its the reason I dismiss the sugar bowl against Oklahoma.

About all the other SEC teams that lost last year, I said one year of bowl results don't matter. The SEC has had the best bowl record 8 of the last 9 years. Yet you nikkas jumped on one year of outlier results. I said last year was a fluke not the start of a trend.

Because Ohio State, Oklahoma, Texas, Oregon, and Notre Dame....that's why.

Because Tebow, Harvin, Ingram, Newton, Honey Badger, Cooper, Henry, ...

Because the Big Ten & Pac 10 fell off during that time...
:duck:

USC was passed over in 07, & 08
Oregon in 2012 was MUCH better than Notre Dame and would have not have been folded up like that

Every team that ran the spread pushed Alabama's wig back

Auburn, A&M, Oklahoma, Utah, Florida, Ohio State

Oregon was the team that got jobbed the most under the old system.
Oregon was looked over once

I know another school who was constantly getting passed over and fukked by the ncaa :smh:

Sec did benefit from some favorable matchups in bcs era

FSU vs Tennessee = FSU playing 3rd string qb

Oklahoma vs LSU = Oklahoma didn't even belong plus it was a glorified home game for LSU

Ohio St vs LSU = OSU sucked in 07 they had horrible qb and pretty much backed in again glorified home game

Oklahoma vs Florida = USC was more deserving so was Texas Oklahoma only made it due to running up score

Alabama vs Texas = McCoy got hurt first series

Alabama vs ND = ND probably worst team for play for bcs title the only team worse was 01 Nebraska
